When I get 3 or more Scatter icons, there's a 10x , 15x and X 20 multiplier on the side of the mini game. I've played this mini game hundreds of times now and I think 99% of the time I have always got the 10X multiplier.

Is it really just luck or is there a certain way to get the 15x and 20x multiplier? Would be great to know

I've never really played this one. I'm just there maintaining my coins.. hopefully.

Not exactly sure how it works if I am honest but I can confirm 15x and 20x are possible and quite achievable. I do believe the probability of getting each is of an equal ratio 1:1:1. or to simply put it; you've a 1 in 3 chance of landing on each multiplier.
I think the aim of the scatter game is to time your selection so that the tiles stop on the highest achievable multiplier. Haven't played much of Gold Rush as of late!
