Jess, when I updated the app YESTERDAY, it worked just fine. I have an iphone running ios 10.2. I can't update an app that's already updated. Unfortunately their software is assuming that I haven't done an update and is waiting for me to do so.
I did restart my phone. If I delete the app and reload it I will lose all my data. I have over 2 million coins and am at level 34. Don't want to start over. They need to fix the problem.

you won't lose any coinage it will still be there when you reinstall it
