Would be great to have a way to decorate in the black spaces other than the right click trick which doesn't work for me.

Yep stopped working for me too :( Hopefully they can design some furniture that will be able to be placed in the black zone.

I agree regarding the black spaces, it would be nice to be able to do that. I have been trying for years to figure it out even with
all the videos out there and could never master it. Or else expand the whole floor space for decorating and have items that we can make it into different levels as well. All these different levels are amazing and that also has to be done the way the decorators decorate when they do the black area. Sorry does not sound right the way I am explaining this but I hope you understand what I am trying to say lol.

I agree. It would make decorating a lot more easy and fun and it would help everyone's creativity run wild. I don't see why this can't be done. I have an avenue which I use a lot because I can put anything anywhere, if all house were like this I'd be SO happy! :D

I agree!! I haven't been able to do the right click trick for a couple of years now due to an update with my flashplayer on my browser..it would be so nice to be able to decorate this way again.

What was the right click trick!?!

You can use some pieces on black spaces and cover them up! I've done it in heaps of my older houses - but in just about all the new spaces there's a lot less black isn't there?

Generally carpet and little accessories work on black, get creative!

Yes I can't get that right click thing to work for me either, so would be great to be able to place things on the black space.

The right click trick (for Firefox browser):
1. Edit your room
2. Place your cursor on the item you want to place
3. Left click (hold), then right click while still holding the left button down
4. Release both buttons, and move your cursor to the black area where you want to put the item
5. Left click (this can be tricky as you can only click once, and if you click then move your cursor just slightly, you will have to start over again.....you can't move the item around after you've placed it....you have to start at the beginning if you didn't get it in the place you wanted).

What I do, to find out the right place to click when placing the item....
1. I'll drag the item to the place I want it to be, in the normal way (not doing the right click trick)
2. I'll memorize the spot where my cursor is sitting
3. I do the right click trick, and move my cursor to the spot I memorized
4. Left click there, and voila, your item is in the exact spot you wanted it to be

I can actually put a sofa in the black area now without going through the tricks, they fixed it so we can decorate that area and above as well. Love it! Now what do I do with it is the question since I have never decorated the black area since I have been a member of the game lol. WELL I TAKE IT BACK I can not do certain things in the black areas which means my black areas will stay black!!

I decorated the Flying Saucer Space Ship yesterday, and was able to put things in the black, without any right clicking.
Didn't register with me that maybe that has been fixed! I thought it was just that house that let you!

Wow goodness that would be great!! ......Must go now and try it in another house :D

It would be so great if one could place items in the black space in easy way! Love this idea!

Yaaaaa....I noticed that some items that previously were unplaceable in the black area, can now be placed there! Woooot! Just one of the benefits of the BVG takeover! However, still have to use the "right click trick" for the other things that still can't be placed there....

I would love to be able to decorate those spaces. I used to but even then it was so hard to get items JUST where I wanted them and I'd end up trying over and over, lol.
