Yes that works, but is there a way to have a forum name and a yoworld name? Like on the old forums.

It says more in this post: http://forums.yoworld.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=232

They are making forum names and in-game names match now, for consistency...

"Your player name will change automatically on the forum if you change it in the game. In order to give context to posts, and to make sure there's some accountability with what is being posted, your player ID is a constant way to identify you."

On the bright side, you don't have to ask anybody for a name change anymore and it will be much easier. :D

I went to Profile
Edit Account Settings
It looks like the name is set in stone on the forums.
My guess is, if you change your name in game, then it will change it on forums.

Thanks for finding this. I thought I'd read it somewhere but couldn't remember where.

Not yet.
We come in here as the same name as our YoWorld Avi, and our account number.

There is always a chance that if many find problems with this, that we can ask the Vikings to change it. They may if we get enough votes on it, and if they have the capability to do it.

I say we sit tight nad see how this works for us.
I've got my Avi named my old forum name.

What I'm not too happy about is anyone can rename themselves in game anyone's forum name and post comments and start threads, and it may fool some, most in fact with them thinking it's us doing the commenting and posting.
This is the only problem with this method I see, but I also haven't given it a good try yet.
We'll see how it sits with us after a week or two of trying it out I guess.

Your sig will always be yours and no matter what your name is, your ID is ALWAYS the same, so we can have 10 Mikes, but every Mike will have a different ID number. I know we can't remember ID numbers, but if theres ever a question about who is posting what, that ID number can be traced and you know instantly if its the correct person. ;)

Exactly. Makes everyone accountable. You can change your name in game as often as you wish and it will update here on forum..but your ID number stays consistent. This is more for BVG to keep track of than individuals..there can be many "Mikes" buy your ID number never changes..they will always know who you are, no matter what your avi name is. ;)

No more trolling ;)
