If BVG would have added timers too the Helicopters, more people would be willing to buy it knowing that they would eventually make a profit, but since it isnt on a timer, the price will just decrease, there is still time to put it on a timer vikings.

Some items i wont even buy if they don't have timers so they are indeed loosing sales...

this I agree with and to OP Gary posted somewhere stating that if ppl still buy these items it will remain in stores, they will only remove them if no one is buying so therefore timers don't exist in this case

They could put timers on it. Put a big huge red bow on it. Even have a fancy & fun ticker tape parade, with the purchase of it .. and I still would not buy it .. heck even a 50% reduction of the price and I still wouldn't touch it. But hey, thats just me.

I agree and that was probably the only reason Zynga was able to pull off charging 100 Yocash for the red helicopter. Being as though it was on a timer and Yocash was on sale.

I love timers! There's nothing better than that last minute rush making sure that you got everything you want before it leaves. Some of my favorite items came from 1 and 3 day sales too. I have bought some of the stuff that is in the store now but I am not in any panic to buy it all because realistically within a month or two it will be selling for very cheap coins in the auction house and at events. I save my yocash for items I really want to buy when they first come out.

There is a "Timer" on all items released by BVG. As Gary pointed out, if the item is unpopular, they will pull it out from the store.

I'm one of those people who buy what I like for myself and then when the timers are running out, I grab a couple extra of the things I like the most in hopes that I can either use them in the future (decorating usually), make a profit on them, or gift them to someone later on. If there are no timers, people aren't going to "stock up" on things. The only time people hoard is when items are going to be discontinued. If BVG wanted to make some money fast, I'd suggest putting YC on sale for a very limited amount of time and put some items (even old themes still in stores) on timers and discontinuing items.
