We've got maintenance. Yipee. To pass the time, what year do you think brought in the least amount of players? I thought it was 2013, and I think 2009 has the most.

Well.. I'm guessing the year with the least amount of users would have been 2008.. However, users that were active monthly could be.. 2009 maybe? IDK  :geek:

I started playing March 2009, and there were ALOT of people playing during 2009! I am surprised to see the #'s quoted above in the 19million+ range....I thought it only got to about 6-7million. But there was a severe decline when Zynga implemented the Sweet Factory....I know alot of people stopped playing because of that. And I think the decline really started to happen when Zynga started pushing theme after theme out, when you couldn't buy anything worth buying without YC. You couldn't buy any seating, beds, hairs, handhelds, hats with coins...only YC. The game became all about running around trying to earn enough coins (for the coin players) to pay the exorbitant prices the YC dealers were charging. You couldn't deco a complete room, unless you bought YC items. With so many themes, with mostly YC items, even the YC dealers couldn't keep up. They started keeping their YC for themselves, and the poor coin players had no-where to get their YC items.

The game used to be about enjoying visiting with your friends & deco'ing.....but it soon became about running to do jobs, pestering your friends for co-signs, trying to get hotdogs/nitros/SBD's...."working" like mad to get ahead! Heck, I work hard enough in real life, I don't need to work my butt off in a game! I want to relax, visit with my friends, and enjoying being able to "complete" a deco with seating at least!

Now with BVG in the driver's seat, I'm hopeful that the number of players will start to increase. They, at least, get that you can't completely exclude a large portion of your players (coin players) from all the goods. They have seating, hairs, hats....pretty much everything that used to only be YC, now available with coins too. Nobody gets left out! Good planning, in my books!

Without a doubt 2009, there was so many people back then...Millions of people, I believe it had something like 20+ million players at one point..

I think this is a very unfair statement -- since I dont feel that prices were at all unfair until a few months ago - when the ratio didnt drop after our loss of sd boxes ....
