Now that, I agree with. If we are going to lose our ability to play in-game, at least give us comprehensive insight as to why we were banned, instead of saying "Your account has been permanently deactivated."

IMHO, this is how it should function: If you are banned in game, you are banned in forums. If you are banned in forums, you are not banned in game/you have a chance to appeal this ban (other than just E-Mailing support).

On another forum that I moderated, we had a "Forum Jail" feature, only viewable by moderators, in which we allowed users to appeal their bans before the moderators in a reasonable format. It is one of the most useful and hassle-free features that these forums could EVER see.

I'm not sure if you definately get banned ingame, I'm sure I have read some posts by BVG that would suggest other wise...Perhaps it depends on the offence...
