How about a feature that we can pay to 'rent' some of the old costumes that some ppl are working towards but haven't been able to afford yet --- if we can rent some costumes for a limited time, we can pay a small fee to be able to wear certain items for like a day or a week, etc. at different prices? Like some of the discontinued 08 costumes that are beyond affordability for some right now, if some players want to be able to wear some of the costumes at least once or for a short period of time without having the hassle of buying it from a seller and then selling it a short time later, for example. Like, maybe if some ppl can rent certain costumes for certain occasions/holidays? Not sure how the pricing will be decided though. Just a thought.

no, I mean like not tradeable rentable costumes that players can trade with each other, but the player that is renting it only rents it for a limited time, like those rentable hairs

Renting old items wouldn't work because it would interfere with the value of older items being traded and sold in the game.

It's one thing to sell old items at a fluctuating price EG in an "Antique Store" as per forum thread - viewtopic.php?f=5&t=19743

But leasing it means that it's basically been re-released and accessible by any one.

Old items already have a value and making them accessible for anything under the market value would depreciate the investment made by players who own the item and that would not be fair.

But.... renting new designed items could be an idea? However.... who doesnt LOVE buying things, renting is soooo not as much fun!
