Wouldnt it be cool if we had forum achievements instead of just ranks? Like "No lifer- Post 100 post within the first 2 days of having your forum account." or something like that!

Lol, I used to struggle with forum posts. Now it goes up more than I think it does, quite scary. LOL!

I would prefer not to have any achievements in forums. As a forum is a place for discussions not posting monosyllabically in order to gain something. Posting would become a matter of just bumping a thread or pasting an emoticon just to get the rewards. In fact for some this is how it already is for them. Racing to accumulate an high post count does nothing for me personally.

As much as it's a unique idea I'd rather have achievements in game vs on the forums.
I agree with Poly.

Not like racing :) More like, weekly goals or something. Like if Gary or Greg was like "Post a picture of your hand sketched yoworld avatar", then they could go through and check it, and you'd get an achievement! The "No-lIfer" achievement was more of a joke :P

I agree with Poly. Too much is being made of these ranks. We already have people posting on anything and everything and creating inane threads so they can raise their counts. I have been quite vocal about this.

No, no achievements. People are very harsh to judge when people have many posts (spamming or not) and then some people, like I said spam post. It's a mess, and that would probably cause more of a mess. I'd say we get rid of the post count that we have already! :)

I think we should post when we have something to say... and share.
I don't need rewarded for my opinions.
But each to their own. And enjoy..... :D

I've seen a few here displaying this hostility...quite often. :|
WHO CARES how many posts a person has? Who's business is to determine WHY they have a lot of post counts?

extremely well said and I agree 100%. my feeling good about myself does not involve "numbers" or the words "how many".

Be better if it was based on the quality of the posts rather than quantity. Be tricky to judge that though.

Just shut up and I want your hat !

Lol jk. Agreed. No need to encourage aimless posting/spam just for meaningless badges or anything.
