Just for the record: Not a fan of the new search display for items in my inventory. I don't see any point to changing what already works when there are things that are not working that could be fixed. Is there a way to revert to previous search display and use?

do you mean the room edit feature ?

top right there is a small cog icon , click it
at the bottom of the box that appears, there is a choice to use the new or old editor

I only use it if I need to find all my 'new' items or need to sort coin items in store or see names of items I have in a room ..... not often
