Like what kind of events would you like to attend? No right or wrong answers.

Good question, oddly one that has changed a lot over the years

now I rarely go to events... not that I dont adore folks, because I truly do enjoy even those that find me disagreeable or too opinionated or simply out and out giant pain and wish BVG would take away my toys

all honestly, Im much too old I suppose to be playing 'digital dolls' -- but I find it fun and challenging to create spaces that I as an adult find engaging

:) but I worry about parents and teens, so i'm very leery of just jumping into unknown places with unknown folks --- while many say we are not their sitters and that is so very true; if your teen is in Yoworld and youre not watching them, sorry - you have no place to look but the mirror if things go wrong.

But can i be wrong to also think if it were me and I was 15 and wasting my chore money here - would I want to deal with an adult? I wouldnt, I have more life experiences and a better understanding of some situations then someone with limited life experiences

I remember the teen server -- why not a section, like the dating section -- that offers a warning this is a server space for those 25 and under ... while all are welcome, it might make events run for those younger more fun :)

LOL I dont think i'm crazy, my young adult teen grand would love to spend the afternoon shopping etc with me; but she doesnt think of taking me to the new dance club LOL ---- right?

Everyone needs space to be themselves .... I require people old enough to laugh at my jokes - cuz i'm only mildly amusing at best and if your under 40 good chance youre eye's are glazing over about right now --- with a gd cant the crazy witch shut up LOL

Events I would go to with people of ages besides sales would be

non sexual pageants (im not cozy in my yo undies in public, just me thing)
Game shows! and not just to take part, I would come and watch
same w/ chat shows -- someone wants to start doing a version of the view or any other sort of talk show
I would go to any YO Plays, someone has a stage and a set up to do plays - same with comics, someone has material they want to practice with - i would be tickled to view it.
I love art shows, you have paint boards and/or your real art and would like to display and and even sell it - please send an invite
home tours - included guided tours, because sometimes the links dont always work the way we hope and you miss out on some of the best spaces

:) - we make this what it is -- right and its so nice to see you posting and sharing ideas. Please think of me when you decide to do something, so I can attend and cheer you on :)

Thank you for your feedback, I love how collaborated I am making this as well. I do agree, I figured I would make forums useful in my opinion, to come up with ways to make the yoworld viking community more responsive and maybe there's a similar thread to the one I am posting, however I am unsure, so I like hearing input, for what people love to do, what items people want to see more, best events to hangout / get to know/ participate/ even if it's roleplay or not. I am all for positivity in the yoworld community, and inclusive is the best term to describe.

I couldn't agree more! I've been suggesting the retro TV game show theme on every survey for 4 years now. Got tired of waiting so I made my own with paint boards:

I'm sure this theme would be a hit, recent ones have been lame and tame imho. :)

room showcases were always my favourite when I had time
Sometimes I'll do a 'bounce' event in my bounce house, that's hilarious every bouncy taken and I have a few
Yo's bouncing and playing in ball pits so much fun

years ago there used to be food parties and room rate events
there's hardly any events on now
oh and it would be nice to have 'voice' actually talk instead of type they have that on that other game

There used to be piles of fun social events. Now they are rare. Too many are full of Yos that don't know how to be nice. I don't understand how snarky, biting, baiting, teasing, and abusive dialogue is fun or funny? Is that how some people impress each other online these days? Color me "unimpressed". I'm more impressed with people at social events who find a way to be nice to people that are rude idiots. That takes character. I want to see more of that.

I stopped interacting with most players & avoid Altons because of the nastiness of some players. Sadly it seems the way of the world now, if people are hiding behind a key board, some think that gives them permission to act as badly as they want.

:) I used to go play Bingo a lot, but like Rod said, people are just rude & silly thinking they are being funny insulting newcomers or
people who haven't been in awhile, the same players win almost all the time & now they're forming "families" for BINGO :haha:
:night: Also enjoyed, notice "the "ed" on the end of enjoy.. get togethers for birthday parties.
:rose: Lady Luck Casino Theme Nights are awesome, but I rarely have the time to attend. When I have I've been treated well
