Aye I just wish they would not wait so long to post winners. I decide if I am going to play or not based off what the winners are usually. I can usually tell if a theme is going to be girly pink or cool based off who they choose. They never give a hint while posting the contests, you can usually tell based off what winners look like though. I have a feeling I will be collecting yopeep pet NPCs either way with this one, but still I hate how long they have been waiting to post.

It's just how it goes. The contest winners announcement is timed to coincide with the theme release it coordinates with.

They used to do it sooner (1-3 days max wait time before). I am just out of the loop too much I guess. Taking breaks and coming back to peek and such
