Since Steampunk items are being offered in the slots, can you please open SP2014 and SK2015?

I would also love to see Hanukkah un vaulted as well, maybe not now but in time for Christmas/Hanukkah seasons. I'm not Jewish but would like to create more homes that celebrate and include Jewish friends and visitors. I only have a few Hanukkah items and would love to have more please. If you can't make more at least open up the vaults.

Im always up for a vault opening ... no matter then theme

for me the most confusing business choice they made was to create amazing things to lock them away and limit their access

I know! I don't get it! The same with deleting themes, though I guess if a theme wasn't doing well or is very outdated I understand.

Vaulting.... creates a panic, players stock up to use.. to sell.. a surge in revenue.

Unvaulting... creates excitement.. players buy to use.. buy to sell... a surge in revenue.

Cash Packages.... put a few vaulted items in a Cash Package ... revenue

Years ago players complained there was too much stuff in the stores, nothing ever left the stores ... sellers couldn't sell something if it stays in the store.

There is so much in the stores that players will not want to use till it's taken out, lol.. humans are funny creatures. There are thousands and thousands of items in the furniture store... there really is no lack of items. Players say they don't like to use the same things over and over.. but want things unvaulted so they can use those items again. :silly:

Maybe it's a case of wanting what can't be had.. and not wanting what is readily available..

Steampunk themes.. if we want it we will probably have to pay large or hope to win it. It won't be put back in the store.

part of it, and I know you will agree ..... Im actually playing my game much differently then you. -- I dont and never did much 'stocking up' I bought what I could use and what I can sell quickly ..... I do not see this as a competitive trading game. In fact, I would be just as happy if we could only gift. We would still have some element of jacking items - but I dont think it would be to the degree we deal with now.

however, there are many that only play for the trading aspects

I dont think any of the approaches to Yoworld are wrong. I dont value wealth as much as I value experiences and creating spaces that provide me a voice that I wouldnt have otherwise

if unvaulting allows someone to 'say' what they wish and clearly there is nothing in the store at this moment that will do it -- I see no harm in limited releases -
reasons include :
yoworld wealth is not measured, there is no benefit to being able to skim more coins then the next person on your friends ladder
We are talking about items that rarely make it to sales; and are limited in supply - no one wants to sell their treasures
it doesnt in anyway remove the value of the item, because for the most part they are not RARE items - they are treasured items and as such people dont want to sell them (limited because no one wants to sell is not the same as rare - and we do have rare items.) .....
all this points to unvaulting as profitable for the company and increases players happiness :) .... I will say if you are one of the few that did horde to resell and you can prove it has cut into your market - I would ask bvg to make an adjustment - however, my guess is NO one with a steampunk horde has been doing much selling, since its one of the things i search.

You might be onto something here... Players could send tickets in and request compensation. BVG could check the data of each player, calculate a fair amount of compensation and pop it into the accounts. EZ PZ. The compensation might even be greater then the sales. :haha: (You know the high crazy prizes players ask/pay.) But it is an idea.. perhaps message them and suggest it?

I don't think they will unvault anything past a certain year. I know at one point they said from a certain point on they would unvault, but anything before them saying that would never be released again. I am rather sure 2015 items are included in those they will never unvault. I could be wrong. I'm rather sure it was after 2016 when they said they would consider unvaulting prior themes in the future. I hope I made sense or that I was remembering this detail correctly. I don't want them to unvault, I would like however for them to just make a new Steampunk theme. We have needed one badly for nearly 3-4 years now. So tired of the deco art/punk stuff. It's not grungy enough for true Steampunk. I want steam, cogs, bronze, iron,
and rusted... not shiny new gold and silver items.

I believe you are right.. there are certain 2015 themes they said they will never put back into the store or rerelease.. HW2015 I think is one of those themes. Maybe even SK2015.. not sure..

there is a list somewhere here in the forum

I will admit that I do hoard in Yo. I have a few homes that serve as storage units plus my Alt acts as a storage account. I don't hoard to sell for a higher price when the items are no longer available though. I hoard for the same reasons I hoard in real life. I may need the item someday and it makes me feel secure having it. In Yo I do a lot of decorating and creating and mix and match my themes to get the final look I'm going for. I rarely sell items, I'll usually gift them at the Wishlist and Chat events or from my Dumpster Diving back alleys.

There are many items available, but sometimes not enough for the theme some decorators are wanting. I'm working on my airplane and I've been lucky enough to find a few key items for for it and have been mixing matching the rest. My fire station is slow because there's no fire station theme. I have lucked out in the AH finding a few great items at a decent price, but I'm not spending 1M coins on a firefighter. I've also been very lucky to have been gifted items for both of these projects.

I'd like to create a health centre with a dentist etc... and so far there's nothing to use for this theme.

I think a few of the older themes could be deleted and updated with better items. For example the Home Goods theme. Many of these items are quite small and not easy to mix and match with more current style and sizing in Yo.
