Yoworld's economy is in tatters and people are hanging on to the past for all its worth. It is time to let go and embrace the future of the game.

Under Zynga's watch hackers and price jackers ran the yoconomy into the ground. People took advantage of the psuedo Laissez-faire economy that was birthed in Z's outhouse to the point that a culture of entitlement has become entrenched among certain players.

If Yoworld is to survive the yoconomy needs to be rebooted. In it's current form it is unsustainable. Something needs to give. If the economy is to be rebooted items need to be devalued. The only items that should not be re-released are collectibles. Everything else is fair game.

The pet store will have provided BVG with a small taste of the whinging associated with re-releases. If re-releasing themes, items, unreleased and short term released items is going to be done, it needs to be done in one foul swoop. You cannot re-release items slowly over time, this will only create a long term drama. All items need to be re-released at once without forewarning.

That way all the players will cry at once, they will go through the stages of grief and when all is said and done, Yoworld will finally free of the baggage of the past and people will be able to look to the future, a future of opportunity and possibility under management that actually cares for the game.

It needs to be done soon, during this transition period. Leave it too long and it will be to late.
Re-releases are good for the game, you need to look past your greed and virtual wealth. Sometimes you need to take one for the team, if there was going to be a time to do this, this is it.

AMEN!!!!!!!!!!! Best post I have read on this forum. :D
People do not realize that the only once who will be left in the game with this kind of prices are the same 1-2 thousand die hard players that were left standing after zynga sold this game. New people will never be able to afford any of this items & because of it, they will LEAVE this game. Without new players & new influx of people buying YC & coins from BVG company would not be able to keep this game... so all this pleading about saving this game so they can meet new people & socialize was useless.
Only rares in the games should be collectables & things like robo girl & robo boy & so on, things they you could only get as rewords. If it was in store Re-Relise it.

New people can afford if they buy yocash :) Why do you think the ones that don't want re-releases....don't want re-releases because they've spent tons of money on the game to get where they are. And i'm not saying this about all people but some of the ones that want re-releases don't have the items they want because they don't spend money on the game. And sure we've lost a lot of the older players because of zyngas mess ups. One being re-releases and another events going down. And many people got hacked or scammed and never got their items back. Now if people don't have anything to work for in the game. Then why spend a ton of money on it?
I agree with you Willow!
Thanks Beast :) I feel like we've all went through all this before lol

I agree tink...That's why people buy and sell for that rare item they've always wanted. That's exactly how its worded over in trading.

lots of accounts were banned with hacked coins and yocash. those accounts had the coinage to buy up rares. there is talk of changing the casino. my suggestion is to remove those items out of banned accounts. give it back to players at the casinos. slot machines etc.

Not that anyone is going to read this far, but I think there can be a happy medium. I think some coveted items should not be re-released, such as but not limited to collectibles and most of the clothing. I do think some of the regular items from themes like windows, rugs, floor, rain, wind, sand, snow, water, etc. should be put into YoDepot and kept there.

Exactly.

I'm sorry about your celtic cross, though... :/

Maybe they can make a new variation of it. And also some other religious items would be nice too... I'd love to see some items for the Islam faith and community.
I'd like to see more religious stuff too. Or stuff that could be used as religious.
I'm a decorator, though, not a collector. I mean sure I hoard stuff sometimes but mostly grass and flowers. Occasionally I'll hoard something that I think is going to sell but it's hit or miss for me. I do OK in game.

My biggest wish are items that can be placed anywhere. It would take decorating to a whole new level. I've deleted items before because they hid behind a wall or a mirror. I'm never more angry when I pay YoCash for something and it glitches by not letting me overlay.

I missed out on plenty themes. After the re-releases I stopped buying and collecting all together. Still wouldn't want them re-released. It's not fair to people that bought them when they were in the store.

Yes..I was looking forward to new items. I was ready to spend but now i'm not so sure about that. One things for sure. I'll be ready for whatever they throw at us. If it means not spending money that's fine. I'll still play somewhat to see my friends. I would still like to hear from Gary on what happened here and why the pets were put back in store. There was nothing mentioned about it in the news feed. So that leads many of us to believe it was a mistake.

I think that unreleased and short term released items should be on the re-release list too. Those items entered the game under a cloud of suspicion and their mystery should be removed.

Super expensive old items cause price jacking and encourage scams. Because yo-poorer players feel hopeless to reach some items they want, so they try to pricejack what they already have, some try to raise their funds by scamming others because many items are soooo out of reach to many players that they see no other way that can take them to their goal items. And for the same reason yc rates go up up up and up. This will never stop unless they rerelease things. Just 8-9 months ago yc rates were around 10k to 1 but now.. i see even 30k to 1 dealers. Where is the end point or this yoinflation? If I was a new player right at the moment, considering that you literally can not get anything nice for less than 200k on sales, I would think wow there is no way I can make my way up on this game... so I would just leave.

Maybe people should buy their own Yocash, and start supporting the game. Than they won't have to deal with high Yocash rates. I don't buy or sell it, I support my own habit, nothing to complain about

I do believe he said in a Q&A that nothing would be re-released.. so I'm almost completely sure that BVG was unaware of the rare-depth these things had.

I do agree.. most people who have their items have either been here from 08 and have collected these items fairly.. or they've sold Yocash to obtain them. I'm kind of upset seeing that everyone believes BVG owes them something.. I mean BVG spent all this time re-engineering our favorite game and everyone finds something new to complain about. You can't ever please everyone. :/

Re-releases of legit items is bad for everyone.

The Yo Economy suffers as a result.

People can say "oh boy I got that item I always wanted" and sure great, but buyer confidence is also shaken. Trading slows down, people become wary. Then the YoCash rate drops and people slow down on buying, so BVG will feel the pinch too.

You cannot artificially influence an economy, virtual or otherwise, without devastating results.

Have we learned nothing from the costume rerelease fiasco from way back. The Yo Economy tanked and everything was a mess.

I hope this rerelease was an error and not a precedent, because if it keeps happening, everyone will suffer.
