The way forward is to release some generic decorating items that enable people who wish to decorate to do so without getting caught up in price wars with coin hungry second hand traders. Then there should be limited runs of special or collectible stuff for those who require "Prestige" through opulence. :)
Also there should also be a Polygon Shop on Map cos that be wicked too!

Yes! And the Polygon Shop could sell the Golden Anthony Award!

OK what am I missing, with this Polygon shop......

You no want de Polygon shop?

Grass tiles need to go back in the depot. They were never supposed to leave in the first place...along with all those doors that mysteriously poofed one day and were promised to be returned.
ah well.

I agree.... It wouldn't be fair if they re-released the old themes. What you miss is what you miss. I have missed some themes as well, but am able to afford some of the items from those themes. I am no millionaire in YoWorld; in fact, I have less than 500c in YoWorld right now LOL!

Anyways, I am sure you haven't shopped in EVERY theme and bought EVERY item. Sorry, but this idea is a big no-no :P

Totally agree. And besides he's not only asking for things from the depot like some seem to think. He's asking for all older furniture themes.

Karma, I have 34 of the NYC grass tiles that you can have if that will help. I understand how hard it can be when you are a decorator to find things that are no longer in store. I don't see why leaving grass tiles would be offensive to some, but anyway if you want these you can have them.

Yeah and there's people that just talk too ;) but i'm not going to argue. Bvg said no re-releases and that's good enough for me. I just figured with them stating that in black and white that maybe we wouldn't see these kind of post anymore but I guess I was wrong lol
I agree that windows, doors, curtains, floors, tiles, should be available at all times in the store. But many people disagree with that and I've been held over the fire for it numerous times.

I readily admit that I have been a staunch supporter of the non- release side of the argument but having read the OP's position and his replies ( together with other posters) throughout this thread I have to say that I didn't appreciate the impact on decorators with the expiry of furniture items. I really believe that bringing out expired themes could have an adverse impact on the yo-economy and drive away players who seek out the rare and expired items. However I ask myself is this effect more worse than if the tons of decorators just stopped decorating and financially supporting the game. This is an issue that BVG will need to seriously consider.

I'm thinking that a compromise to this situation could be a limited flash re-release of certain items within themes - such as tiles / doors /curtains / floors. Definitely not any collectibles! It could be done over a number of weekends so that, say one weekend its a flash re-release of one theme. Then that is taken out and the next weekend its a flash re- release of another theme. I really don't know how this could work - the most obvious advantage would be the immediate influx of financial support to the game and those like me who feel that stability in rarity of items should maintained as far as it is practicable - could not argue that such a limited re-release would damage the economy in the long term. Another advantage to such an idea would be that it would bring back a high level of players during the weekends when such sales were held and keep players logging in to see what the flash theme was going on.

I don't know. I really don't. I'm just now alot more sensitive to the plight of those whose main purpose is to decorate in game. My focus has always been the fashion and hairs so I decorate when and if the mood takes me.

I've been reading about re-releasing all the old stuff. Why? What is so great about it? Re-releasing it isn't going to do anything in the game, just get the noobies upset ( they'll be the ones in 1 or 2 years who'll want it released again!) Think about it. You get all you want out of it, then in a year or so, those who have what they want will be okay, but the ones who were noobies (with little or no money), will be calling out for re-releasing those old items again and so on and so on. I'm tired of listening to it! DON'T release anything just because the greedy ones want it. If you have to rerelease it leave it in the store forever so everyone when they get the coins together can buy it.

Excellent post iJojo UK. And a great idea too!

And Margo... How about you read THIS thread and then tell us how designers who spend a fortune on the game are "greedy" for wanting grass and walls put back in the store. Mkay?

Sure...Bvg already said no re-releases. It's been said a couple of times by them.

They've already re-released a lot of things people have worked really hard to get...
