That is beautifully stated. Everyone does not function in that manner, however, Rod. Others do hold grudges, and relentlessly attack others, which brings me to question the actual purpose of this public forum.

Are the forums made to embrace the entire YoCommunity, or are the forums made to intimidate and demonise all but a select few "perfect" players?

I shall withdraw my commenting from this thread. If I am a mendicant for wishing, then I will proudly wear the title of being a mendicant. This world is moot without a wish.

Wishlists are begging? Okay, whatever.

Wishlists are for the purpose of being gifted. So yes, they are begging. There is no other purpose for a wishlist than to be gifted something.

When wishlists started they were so that people could get more of something they needed to decorate. Once I needed those old fogging punchbowls, to make a christmas tree with. I asked on the wishlist and in a little less than a day I had thousands. They were also so that people would know what their friends wanted. Now it's complete strangers working the forums like a pro getting millions of coins worth of items, costumes, and rares.

And to be clear, I 'm not saying I want enforcement of wishlist posting. I'm just giving my opinion of them.

Discussing a topic that is obvious from one perspective yet blind to another always carries risk. You have defended your thoughts, yet you react as if you are unsure or feel guilty. In the forums, many people cannot accept the criticisms that come with their posts. Your view on this is not definitive, and other people are taking your feelings and logic to task. It happens. You don't have to get the 'last word' or be 'right'. You can also choose to de-escalate the discussion by just dropping it.

We can't make others mature. None of us can. But we can choose to be bigger than what we perceive as wrong. In the forums, this can be as simple as smiling at someone's post and wondering how their brain got to where it is. :)

It's not that easy to leave an interesting thread, you know. Not aimed at you but I love people arguing on a thread and then saying they're leaving, and suddenly they start posting more often than everyone else on the thread.

It is the best thing to do when peeps get upset, but you are correct. They gotta keep pouring gas on that fire until it melts down to the ground. LOL

I am a gifting angel and am appalled at the greed displayed in the wishlist thread. People are kinda stupid and I can guarentee that I do not gift if I go to an apt set up for auctions. I also don't give if the person has a huge list of expensive or rare items, and then never gift others in the wishlist thread. We need an official wishlist controlled by a moderator. I will continue to help out the new people and those who list items needed for specific projects as I love to help. I do go and buy stuff in the stores to gift (yocash or coins) and even the AH to stock up on things that newbies can't afford.

Rather then 'begging list'

I wonder if we could do a trade list ---

and see if we can get past this pretend game wealth thing that so many seem to think means you are winning 'the game' YO has NO winners or NO losers - unless your breaking tos, then you are without a doubt a loser.
