October 2008. I left because it started heading away from what Taurus described in the OP. I came back because I missed what Taurus described in the OP. I've been having a blast here, but the blinders fell off recently. I have no idea what my YoFuture is.

08 here, istill remember when we all had the same themes to decorate with lol. Before they even added yocash to the game. I also remember when the yocash rate later was 250 coins per yocash and when the first mafia theme came out how everyone loved it. Everyone used to be so excited the night before the new collectables come out we stay up all night to see what we get, when releases were done slow and the quality was amazing. No layer problems, sizing issues and dull colors. Halloween, thanksgiving, Christmas and Valentines day were the most popular seasons on yo and we would get amazing items. How i miss those days. I started with myspace :haha:

i remember when we were allowed 2 accounts(before tagged) .. we couldnt trade from same ip so i would buy the original hottubs with FB, gift them to my myspace and sell them for 1k below store prices.. they were easy sells then.. i also went to auctions and then sold the stuff for a very small profit after....you could get in store things for half price at auctions at that time... then when rideables came out... me and AG would race around the yotown in our kayaks....i always won... well, she won but i let her!!!!

I have played for about ten years. I miss the "Sweet Shoppe Factory". I wish we had the option to do that in addition to the regular factory.

I have really never been overly social - because I am too busy with work/family/etc ...
The decorating was my escape.

I had some friends that used to play, and I have made some new friends via YoVille/YoWorld ... but it was more in a random fashion.

OMG i used to love auctions back then when you could get bulks real cheap, in store items though but you get a bunch of it so cheap you could turn around and sell it and make a good profit. I'm good with numbers and remembering things so i could remember every item in the store and their store price so i would buy so much and just resell, that's how i learned how to get coins fast and got into the buying and selling.

I recall when they used to give us goodie boxes to indicate a new theme was coming. Also I recall when 5000k seemed like a lot a money just for the trailer. I recall when we all wore starter clothes and nobody really cared.

Look in furniture store and you can still buy the 9.99 Christmas one as well as Miami. But, yes we used to get these little boxes before a theme and they'd have furniture or occasionally other items in them.

Taurus (185839344) wrote:anyone still here from back when we only got new stuff every 6-8 weeks and acutal themes didnt even exist? man, I miss those days, the anticipation was awesome. back when the social part was the main focus of the game. back when people had auctions with actual in store stuff and if they got half price, they were smiling. back when we laughed at the price jackers failing to succeed, before the price guide at the time helped them. scammers were almost unheard of and when they did scam, they were outted swiftly. I miss those "innocent" days of the game.

Im still here. :D

I'm an '08er and I'm addicted so I'm not going anywhere. The game will die with me still playing, I imagine.
