I agree. The cross was released for about an hour and then removed, thus not allowing a fair chance for most people to buy it. Any other three day or one day themes were official releases for specific holidays. We won't see them re-released as we were all aware these themes were coming into Yo as Zynga did give notice beforehand. That notice constitutes a 'fair chance' for players who played Yo at the said time.

Players knew a release was happening that day when the cross was released. It wasn't just placed in the store alone and then removed. All players had a chance to buy it...albeit for a short time. What if on the one day release not all players could log on? Maybe they were out of town, or their internet was down, etc. Did they have a "fair chance" to buy?

Three day and One day themes were given at least one weeks notice. If you played, you were aware that a short release theme was coming. When the cross was released, it was not a part of a short theme special release and in any case, it was removed from the game within an hour of the release. I personally see a huge difference between an accidental one hour release and a special theme that was given at a minimum, seven days notice to all players. But..that's the way I see it. :)

The thing is and I just have to say this one more time. Bvg stated they want to have their own exclusive number items. Now I take it that means only so many will be put in game. I see a thrill in that and I love the idea. So it's no different then with the Cross or any other short time releases. I'ts something that makes the game more fun and interesting..now I'm probably going to be one of those people that don't happen to be on the game at the right time. Am I going to complain about it? No. But if I like the item I will try to buy it through events. I guess I love the thrill of buying items on my own and buying and selling to obtain that item.

Vip items were made available to people who paid money to be VIPs. Everyone had the opportunity to join VIP and everyone had the opportunity to buy the VIP items when VIP members put them up for sale. These items were intentionally released. Read what was said.

This makes it sound like people that live in the world that exists outside America must wait up all night so that they can buy stuff that is in store for a few seconds or minutes, as if they are not prepared to conform to American time zones at the expense of their sleep, then they should not be taken into account. ;) :D

No that's not my point at all. Paula implied that players weren't aware that a release happened therefore should be released again. And that's not the case.

We have differing opinions, and that's fine. I don't see releasing something and then removing it because players complained as "accidental". I see that as an intention release and then removed.

Can't people just enjoy the game without worrying what's worth what? I don't care if the few expensive items I have are put back into the store. I bought 'em because I loved 'em. I honestly don't think this game was meant for antique trading. I understand it's fun to buy and sell and save up for dream items and such but it's gotten ridiculous.

Even if they are aware that there is a release, people from outside america should not have to stay up all night to buy an item. The item should be in store for an amount of time that all people no matter their time zone is able to buy that item.

I just have to point this out:

I don't understand how some of you are able to distinguish certain items as accidental release, or official releases. One of the Vikings just stated that the accidental releases have the possibility of being released. I guess we could not have a few examples of accidentally released items, so that leaves it free for people to speculate. My point is, none of us know if certain releases were accidental or official. So in the end, we will have to wait and see.

I'm in America and many releases in the early years were between 1:00-2:00 am my time, which I did stay up for. I'm just stating this as a fun fact, not in support of any argument.

No absoluting not Adeline. I was asking the question of Paula who implied because everyone should have a "fair chance" at purchasing items. I just made a case for what if someone's internet was out, not giving them a "fair chance"

I think some of you should go play another game. YOU obviously do not want YoWorld to be what it is and always has been. One more time in case you missed it. There is no such thing as Justice as it is defined by the masses and there is no fairness. Ponder that for awhile and stop trying to act superior because you resent people who have things.

Erm, no! I never said nor implied any such thing. If you read my posts, I have said the exact opposite. I stated that Zynga always gave notice of short time releases..ergo...fair chance to buy! In the case of the cross, it was removed before mostly anyone had a chance to buy it. It was an accidental release, removed due to Zynga religious policy and therefore should be released back into the game if BVG have no objections to releasing items into the game of a religious nature. Given that the cross is still in game, I believe they have no objection at all.
I was merely reiterating the words of Gary and Viking John about what constitutes a fair chance of buying an ite

I also do not understand the difference between an accidental or official release. The only thing that is clearly not going to be put back into the game is what I have bolded. Even the phrase all the other valuable items is vague. What one person considers valuable another person may not. It's subjective.
All of your 08 and 09 costumes, retro specks, and all the other valuable items that have been released before are not going to be re-released.
