Who cares about guides? I don't. Guides work in a funny way. When they list items less than 200k, sellers don't like it, but when an item is jacked and listed as 5m, sellers love it. Especially nowadays, guides are out of hand and totally invalid. I don't even check them anymore.

It's no secret I've been looking for colorful quilts out of suburban. You know how many I'd have now if I was only willing to pay the 35k rehab thinks its worth? None. Who's selling an item that has been out of store for 5+ years at only 35k?
Even if I had 100s of them I wouldn't sell them at that price.

Lemme teach you something. When you're looking for an item and you notice it's taking you forever to find. You start offering amounts on it. If the amount you offer isn't enough, you raise your offer until it is enough.
I'm gonna guess that lamb thing was like 100k when you first started looking for it and I'm gonna guess you kept offering 100k til the "bible" decided it was worth a million or what god awful ridiculous number it is now.
When you notice that either your price or top bible isn't good enough, you adjust your offer accordingly to tempt a seller to come out. Sure you may end up paying 1m for an item that's "worth" 100k at the time but in the long run you make out on the deal.
Oddly people call me a price jacker for this approach. But you do what you gotta do to get your item and not be completely screwed by guide manipulation. Manipulation you should have first hand knowledge of with the piano.
I learned my lesson a few years back with animated polar head lights. I was looking when they were allegedly 25k items. Another player started looking to. They became million coin items. Cheapest I ever bought one was 3.2m. Now maybe if I was offering. 250k back when it was 25k, I would have never paid 3.2m for one.
Beat the guide to the punch and make it so a seller feels compelled to sell to you.

No need to. I would let people buy, dress up, decorate have fun. New comers would be welcomed with a huuuuuugeeeee store that could drive them crazy lol Ohh i want this and this and this omg i have to do this theme ... etc things would be sold all the time. Why would I block my own stores full of yocash items that can be sold unlimitedly. Design them once, sell them forever. There can be some collectibles once in a while, those can be super precious unique items among players, and that's it. Everybody would play in peace.
Really. This is my true feelings about this game. I am an old player, I have tons of expensive stuff. Really expensive stuff, but I only buy what I like, and mostly buy only 1 (especially clothing) When I decorate, I buy what I need, what I like. So I don't want to tear apart my existing rooms and sell something just for getting another thing that is price jacked. It is a very uncomfortable way of playing for me to hoard random stuff to random rooms just for reselling or for the fear of needing them later and not being able to find enough of them or the for the fear of items can be price jacked.
The current concept that Zynga created in this game, is actually something wasn't originally intended to. This is what creates the conflict.

I already told you why this everything in stores nothing discontinued approach wouldn't work for YOU as a non-YC buyer, though. I know it sounds ideal (I really do, I'm a decorator myself), but the only people who will lose out on it absolutely, are the non YC buyers only.
The reason why those items are *rare* and worth a lot are because they are discontinued.
If every item is in store and you have nothing to sell to afford to buy YC items, what are you going to sell to afford YC rates charged by YC buyers? You wont nearly earn enough the current methods to earn coins, I'm sure of that.
And if YC buyers have nothing discontinued they choose to sell their YC to afford to buy, why would they buy excess YC to sell to anyone else? There would be no need to.

That would encourage everyone to buy their own yc which is better in the long run. Yc dealers will still exist because they still need coins to afford the coin items in store. Store can drain a lot of coins before you know it once you start decorating & clothes shopping.
And I am not a non-yc buyer. Especially with todays rates, there is no way I am letting a dealer get bulk amounts of my coins. I don't create them by hocus-pocus When I really want something, I buy my own yc. That simple.

I totally agree with this! People not being able to pay coins for yocash items should not be a problem. That is what you get for not spending real money to get what you want at a decent price. Yocash dealers dictate what they want in coins for yocash items. Same for discontinued collectibles.

Amber (134193745) wrote:I really would like to have some of the themes back in the store. There was a lot I missed because it was a never ending problem, with the lag in the game. I wasn't able to play for months, even after sending in so many tickets I lost count. Then there are some themes that I just flat out missed, that I would love to have but never see being sold anywhere. But I understand too, that people like to sell and make money off of the stuff that is no longer in stores.
