If the old forum was still around, the one back in 2009 that is, there would be plenty of proof that the hat was never released as you could search thread upon thread of people complaining that it was not available for purchase.

Or even the last forum we had before this with RSOTC threads asking for a real release of the hat year after year.

Sadly the old forums are long gone and now the prior Z forums are also gone.

Well it could have been easily photo shopped and no one has shown that they have a menorah hat in their inventory that was bought at the time of the supposed release of it. If I show a picture of someone with 30 heads and 200 arms and 200 legs and say ok prove that it isn't true, how are you going to do that?

When I've considered all the evidence put forth I lean towards believing it hasn't been released. It's too easy for that little picture to have been photo shopped. And just like I can't prove that there is no one with 30 heads and 200 arms and 200 legs all the evidence I've seen concerning that leans me to believe such people do not exist.

I talk about the whole rerelease discussions threads and people asking for more and more stuff, and no with this rerelease i didn't lost any money i only lost some millions with the groovy theme/highschool theme rerelease when zynga rerelease it but i didn't went to forum to whine or cry for the money i lost either, so why you say that i just don't want everything rereleased because i will lost money yes ofcourse i will not like everything i worked hard for to be rereleased but it was my choise to pay so much money.

with this rerelease i wasn't happy either i didn't own the items but i felt bad for the people that bought them with hard work and im sure it will suck to see them back in store, yes i bought them, i wear it but i don't feel so excited as i would be if i had to work hard to get them you understand what i mean? i talk about the goal purpose in the game..

You know what? If you feel sad, you will have my sympathies. I've been there. I know how it feels. I will never laugh at the genuine buyers like you are feeling the sting of it. Yep, we knew the risks, but that doesnt mean that it still doesn't sting a little.

I really dont begrudge anyone owning it so it was fairly easy to be gracious about it, but thinking of the coins I spent on it DID sting a little.. I'd love to have them back!!!

I am not in favor of collectibles or 08s being re-released at all, and never have been. I dont' think BVG will re-release these. Just in favor of items that were in game but never released before, being finally released to the wider player population. I do think BVG will come out with some awesome items that will allow people to continue to collect exclusive/rare stuff if thats what they enjoy.

going by what BVG stated before I'll take some random rumors of a player hanging at the Alton's.

Bottom line: I'm just happy and very grateful that Yo was saved.....re-release or not won't deter me
from enjoying Yo, hopefully for a very long time. Thank You BVG for taking over....

LOL Well I think I did a pretty good job of showing exactly how easy the "proof" can be debunked.

The burden of proof* usually falls on the person trying to prove that something actually happened or existed ect...
At least my debunking was first hand info <g>.

I believe what they said is they would not likely re-release items. "Not likely" being the key here and still leaves the possibility of chance. I did not read where they said it would NEVER happen no way no how!! They would be crazy to lock themselves in to the absolute.

People read and see what they want to see.

I personally don't care for re-releases in general. However, they certainly don't have any huge consequences to me either way.

I think they're just pointing out using something as proof that it was released, that couldnt possibly have happened, is not really inarguable proof.

The problem with "Unlikely" being ambiguous is problematic.

That and the Menorah hat is supposedly unreleased and if so should be removed from the game.

Ok guys just so you know, I've been on Yo for a long time and was a very active player in 2009/2010.
I know for a fact that the Menorah wasn't in store for even a few seconds. It was never released, players who own many of it are trying to spread rumors that it was in fact released.
I am very sure it wasn't because at the time I had only seen a very few people have it and they were mostly hackers who bought it before 2009.
Actually many priceguides (yorehab in particular) have put some items under short time release when in reality they haven't been in store at all.
The only item that was accidentally released in 09, was so for around 30 mins and it was the Celtic Cross. (btw I don't own one so don't flame me)

You know it was rereleased (which is all you are trying to say) but you had a false memory that you tried it on in shop during the supposed release (and a false memory is not like oh I forgot ... let's see I remember flying to the moon, oh but I forgot I didn't, maybe I forgot to buy bread at the store, you forget to do something or that you did something, you have a false memory if you think you did something you didn't) and ... Cat clock and Slayer tank too on accidentally released.

I own a Menorah. It was never in store. It wouldn't bother me if BVG put it in tomorrow.

I've had the hat over 2 years now, I'm long passed the status/worth of it.

I had that hat and it was 100% released....short released in Dec of 2009. It sold for either 8 or 6 yocash.
I sold my legit menorah hat in the AH last Spring.....also, I read on the forums from 2 Ninja/board admins
that the hat was "short release." And gave the okay to buy and sell it.

I was around when the hat came out, I personally saw if for sale.....
