Now, YoDustin, I must ask, how did you reach the conclusion that there is a use of more than one rug per room? I understand the ones in the living room, but I am curious to hear about the ones in other rooms.

What do you think was the goal of making it super laggy?

Im thinking in her bedroom she stacked the gothic items, bed, dresser, and the other gothic item she has.

Goal of super lag could be just to keep unwanted people such as us fourmers out of the house so her house isnt exposed. When I went there last year, she didnt have her lag machines get though

Mary Everlasting is an extremely clever woman! She was smart enough to successively layer the items (which is evident if you look at the shadows beneath the rugs; I have also done this before in the past), AND she was smart enough to play into the entire Marylaid Everlasting fiasco.

By making her apartment extremely laggy to some, she intended to create the effect of a heavy air that some feel when experiencing paranormal activity in real life. Your energy is drained and you progressively slow down (hence why she created the lag). Upon certain occasions, if you see a ghost, you freeze in your steps; likewise, if another player were to come into the apartment when you were there, you may lag out (depending on your processor speed), in the event that it were the real Mary Everlasting.

Yeah, I recall visiting her apartment a long time ago and there was no lag issues for me.

I agree that the lagging adds to the creepiness and mystery of it all.
