You cant really control them, its really up to the parents to either enable Parental control on the computer, or just keep them away from them, the internet is dangerous as is, you cant change that, its like asking god to make all of us live forever, its just not that simple

With out reading through all thats already been said here.. Here is my opinion. It is not BVG's job to baby sit children on the game. There are age restrictions in place. Most 13+ kids know what they are doing, and TG our ways have changed and most parents teach their children about predators and the like, and how to be safe. It is up to parents to protect their children.
I do think that folks use this as an excuse to separate the servers once again, wanting to get the kids off the adult servers, but mask it under "its for their protection." Which would be a fallacy. If you put all the kids on one server - then which server do you think any pedophile would levitate towards? If anything it would be more dangerous. It's like putting all the chickens in one coop, and then pointing the fox right at it.. There ya go!
If ya know something bad is going on. Report it in game, I am not sure how you know all the details of whats going on in pm, from a young teen, to a 50 yr old, but that conversation I'm sure is not one sided, for it to be on going - and not reported.

I think it's better that we're mixed, to be honest. Bad people'll have a harder time targeting younger children to prey on if they can't tell who's an adult and who's not just by looking at them. Whereas if all the kids are in one server, all the bad guy needs to do is create an alt account and go to that server, knowing that that's where the younger people are.

Agree,and as I already said not all young people are idiots, and it is my responsibility as a parent to protect my children not BVG.

Like I said, I think its just a ploy to get the servers separated again. Lets pretend, its for their safety lol. Frankly I don't mind the kids on the adult servers. I don't find it so bad. And if the servers where separated, like before the kids would just lie about their age, to get on the adult server. So separating the servers is pointless unless it can be policed. Seriously who's gonna do that?

Instant ban for pervy events - should sort out pervy events. No mercy. That's all that needs to be done.

BVG can only do so much, they tried to sensor words said in games, but smart teens tend to find a loop hole in them, Facebook already has restrictions in place, where you cant have a facebook unless parental supervised or 13 years and up, again, BVG can do so much to try and make it PG, but parents also have a job in this department, and if you have an 8 yr old children playing a teen game, then that just goes to show your not doing a good job as a parent, Ive seen the internet be dangerous, without parental control, Internet is rated PG-13, again, dont ask BVG for more sensors in the game, because they are not parents of your children or your little brother or sister, there job is to run the game, not baby sit your children as Borgessa explained in an earlier post

I agree it is not BVG's responsibility to babysit, most minors are educated in this manner and it sounds as though this 15 year old is speaking out publicly about what this person is doing to let people know. Good on her. It is up to us as a community to report the offenders when we see them or hear these things are happening. I don't mind sharing servers,,,,as adults we can keep an eye out and most of us are good people. It takes a village right?

That is a really good idea, you have a good dad, who thinks highly of his precious daughter. Set the computer to sleep within a certain time frame, and of course have a passwood known only to the parents, and set up the "hot spots" on the screen. You are lucky to have a dad who cares.

Sorry, but the protection is in place - I know w/ Z it was never looked at - - BVG have told us to report, they have chat records.


Second if you know this guy (I'm guessing from Facebook?), I hope you have the right guy -- because right now it's just a guy that might be the guy you know that is 50ish .....because we dont have special names, it really could have been anybody with the name of they guy that you know that is 50ish

So .... unless the person being hit on sent a in game report its all hear say and that wont help put a real stop to this.

And if this spilled into Facebook the person being assaulted needs to report it to facebook


But bottom line ---- Since there is NO way to know for sure in game who you are dealing with DO NOT behave in a manner that will create confusion or worse
Dont make advances towards people that you cant not age verify and that goes for people that attempt to barter with their bits --- If you cant see the person and you dont know the person why would you give them your most dear bits.

This has been a major issue since this game was first introduced...
There are those, men AND women, who have it in their mindset to target children in game...
At the same time, some of these 'children' who profess their age as 17 and under, may well be an adult lying about their age...and vice versa...
Many times, players have professed their age to some, and then change their age more than once within a few minutes...check the 'chat log'...
Pedophiles come from all ages and are BOTH men and women...
Until better age verification guidelines are implemented...

There isn't much BVG can do so I don't see why all fingers should be pointed at them. It's down to the parents.

They lie when they activate FB and get on the adult server, why should BVG be responsible for someone else's kids.. let their parents police their online activity that is their job.

it would not matter if they had adult/kid servers. kids/adults can still get on our servers. its the parents job to watch what there kids do on the internet.

The servers don't matter, kids can lie about their ages to be on adults or vice versa. It's the parents that need to monitor what their kids do (I realize they can't be watching them all day everyday, but they need a good idea of what their kids are up to).
