Same here. We started just a few days apart! I mostly was saving coins for really basic things like the 600 coin toiltet in the depot :haha: I went around touring people’s houses and it was so much fun! When I saw the big turkey and the turkey dinner at someone’s house, that’s where the food obsession began :haha: The little holiday and seasonal themes were really the only themes apart from the Mother Earth, Safari, girly, etc. The first real big theme was Mafia vs Police if I recall correctly, and everyone was super excited and loved it. And of course all of us waiting up on release nights after that...

And Alton’s was always jam packed and people throwing gifts at each other left and right, maxing, etc. And the friend ladder was all rooms with high ratings. And we’d have to wait in line at the factory...seems like a lifetime ago!

I’ve been playin so long I don’t remember when I started. lol I THINK I was playing on MySpace, and just lost everything is had there but that wasn’t much because it took me a bit to get into it. I gave away or sold for dirt cheap so many items I wish I had kept because I had no idea the game would go the way it did (item prices skyrocketing to beyond belief prices so I never got those items again.) I miss visiting and splatting people’s pages.
However, I’m more into the decor aspect and less so the social, so I’m glad the game evolved to include both.

I remember 2 releases per week, must have been toward the end of Zynga's good days. I have never been very social in Yo, though, so I like it much better now when we have new decor items more often.

I used to absolutely love the free gifts and mystery boxes - the candelabras and red/orange/black candles with animated flames, and the chimes. . .

I am an old timer and I miss some of that. I actually am at the I dont give a rats arse point anymore and being here is just a really ingrained habit that is a bit too hard to break.

I started playing in november 2009. At that point there was a Thanksgiving theme and release days twice a week, for people would be very excited. There would be release day parties in game. We hung out together in anticipation of the upcoming release.
