Why would Starbucks pay BVG to put their name in a game that reaches 50k total people?
These advertisers, for this idea to work, would have to be willing to shell out money to BVG to advertise their product. Meanwhile, in every example you listed, their product is bigger than BVG.
Not too mention the fact this is a global game with people in like Egypt, do they even have Starbucks there? So you're limiting your audience further to people who can actually use the product to less than 50k viewers.

The question should be "Why wouldn't they want to put their name in a virtual game?".
There is no such thing as too much advertising.... and Starbucks knows this. That is why they are in every country, even Egypt![]()

I don't really think it matters, as long as BVG advertises, they get money, right? Even if it is local, I don't think they sell Iams pet food all around the world, do they?

Paula (127963301) wrote:Anthony, Samberg is correct in what he says. Advertising here needs to reach a global market, hence, it needs to be a global product. Any company with a global product would not waste their time with the tiny bit of marketing that could be offered in game in Yoworld.
Don't forget that marketing is aimed at demographics and here in Yoworld, the demographic is wide and varied and more than 50% of the Yo demographic has no access to disposable income as the majority of them are under age.
