Initially resignation, along with sadness. But after I got over the initial shock and realised that enough of us wanted to save the game, I decided to fight.

My first reaction was, "Whatever, more time for SL. Zynga finally learned how to drive a nail in its' own coffin." But when I read how they wanted to take my YC (I paid REAL MONEY for) and move it to one of their games I don't play or even like, and not want to just reimburse me, I got pissed and joined the groups that were forming to protest. I would put my protest messages on my FB. I deleted every Zynga game. I was relieved when I heard that BVG wanted to buy Yo and had no doubt that they would purchase it. Here are some of my FB protest pics I did at that time.

I felt a mix of anger and sadness.
Over a year long before the announcement I hadn't been able to really play,as my inventory wouldn't open at all,aka I couldn't change my avatar's appearance, decorate, trade with others, etc.
And I had always hoped Zynga would fix it one day.

Not a surprise, but bummed because I would never see my hairs, dogs or kiss on the cheek or favorite valentine chair again.

I was a little bummed, but lets face it the former owners of the game were practically flushing it down the toilet.

I was happy and sad. All the time I've spent decorating, all the memories from events and making friends. It was a wakeup call though for a lot of us who were and still are addicted to yo. I actually did things while it was "down"xD

I don't remember when I seen the notification, as I didn't really log in to Yo that much anymore. My gf said that it was closing on March 31 (which is my Bday) and I said, "now that's an awesome bday present."

I really didn't have any feelings because I already stopped playing, but I def felt a little sympathy for those who love the game. I know a lot of people who use YO for their socializing, and definitely didn't take the news well.

To be honest I was not surprised, but I was sad. I was looking around for another similar game and there was not anything I liked. I don't gamble or play farm games and I don't like my news feed spammed with send this and send that every 5 minutes. Really happy that BVG saved it.
