I thought it was a nod to those who don't celebrate Christmas, honestly., since it's generic winter gear and not religiously-themed.
Still could give decorated trees, snow people, snow theme outdoor items, frozen lakes, etc etc. None of the items I listed are religious themed. I want items I can actually use.

I remember years ago Jess said that it was a lot easier to do stuff attached to the avi's than decor. I suspect that in a cost saving measure that is why a good share of what we get now is a yober or other wearable as apposed to decor. Also likely why it seems we get less and less decor with every release. Not a good thing for decorators.
No, not good at all, especially considering this is a DECORATING game. And they wonder why enthusiasm is diminishing. But hey, I learned a long time ago that you can tell someone not to touch that hot stove just so many times before you just need to let them touch that hot stove. We (not meaning any specific person by using "we", just meaning a large number of players & posts ) have been trying to tell them for years, yet still they keep trying to touch the stove.Kat (106520804) wrote:Jem (111121099) wrote:beanmom (6754061) wrote:Lynn (13116850) wrote:And I agree with the OP, the gifts this month, considering it leads up to Christmas are a little lame.

Yes, can there be somethings we can use almost year around. Some of us don't participate in manmade rooted holy things, so us that don't miss out. I read too much about the history on holidays So I won't ever use most Items designed with any p*gan origin just saying (encyclopedia). I sell most Items.
I have gifted most of those NPC's to the players depicting them, and I hope they enjoy. I feel it's not fair to all the other players in game to just keep choosing the same ones over and over.
And about those GEM gifts well not a fan of them so I will be selling or gifting.

Sorry but I don't see how my statement was incorrect. Whether they include every other aspect of the game in the description or not, multiple times a month we are offered housing of some sort along with items to decorate. Multiple times a month we have challenges that involve decorating, hence it IS a decorating game. It can be more than 1 thing.J T (4799906) wrote:Lynn (13116850) wrote:No, not good at all, especially considering this is a DECORATING game. And they wonder why enthusiasm is diminishing. Hey Lynn,
Thankfully, current management & yet still, a great deal of Yothers know otherwise....
A little reminder from when you 1st started perhaps to jog your memory...
To quote the spiel.....
"Hang out with friends in YoWorld
Create a character
Decorate your house (house symbol)
Host a party
Chat (blah blah blah symbol)
Play games
Send messages & gifts
Shop" ($)
Your personal "singular" purpose for "game platform intention" is only 3rd in a list of "multi" purpose features I'm afraid..... (come on FYY seriously what harm a shrug emoticon )
I also point out with no need for "attentive" response or further retort in falsity.... you can't "DECORATE" here without first establishing personal avatar or character (shrug)
It is without question logically then, & as stated on the Yoworld social media pages, to be unequivocally found, that this pixelated realm or GAME is a socially interactive symbiotic one of both character & environment (viewer & viewee), & in that dependent on each other entirely for long term or any in fact success with either in lack thereof... (shurugity shrug shrug shrugs)

Totally agree they're so repetitive as well, the same ones over and over again
at least one has 11 NPC's in game
and those you can't hardly give them away no one wants em in AH just shows how "popular" they really are
yet a Miss T NPC goes for millions

Hugs, ma'am. My daughter has CFS, and all of her days are difficult. Sometimes, overwhelmingly so, just to feed herself. So although I have not personally experienced it, I've witnessed the hard days of someone I love , and I admire the strength it takes to get through them.

I'm going to respond as someone who has three avatars in the store (and one more under my original discord name), and a few more in slots and gem events, so bear with me.
I am no one's – literally no one but my momma's – favorite anything.
I just enter contests like crazy because it gives me something to do between releases.
I've been playing since 2008. I didn't participate on these forums until much later, when I came looking for answers about something going on in-game. and I stayed because I like talking about what is going on in the game and seeing the beautiful creations that are posted here.
I do not socialize AT ALL in-game with anyone except my momma and a few RL friends.
I am no one's favorite.
I don't go to the Viking parties – I don't go to any events because I have social anxiety and live events where you are expected to chat feel just like RL events where that is concerned.
So, when I see complaints that BVG just keeps choosing favorites and the same people over and over, I get a little annoyed, Because I know that I am unlikely to be the one you are talking about, but they have still chosen a few of my little dress-ups to be NPCs in-game. And I have to suspect it is the same for others who have NPCs in-game: they just enter contests a lot, and their avatars fit the narrative that BVG is going for in that theme.
So.. I guess if you want to see yourself as an NPC, enter all the avatar contests. And if you don't like NPCs, don't buy them or sell the ones you win ...
(And I'll admit that I'm a wee bit into my cups, which is probably why I'm going to actually post this rather than just backspacing and going to decorate a room... but sometimes these things get to me.)

Not really looking to be an NPC in game, was just saying seems the ones we see are repetitive. And don't want to be gifted rather have something else, why would I want one of a player that dislikes me, lol. I entered once and honestly thought no more about doing it, I guess I must have been bored, lol.
I have gifted the ones I received to their titled named gladly (I could have sold but...) and hope they enjoy them.
