Yes, that is where my mind went. Thank you for sharing the photo; took me back to my long-ago honeymoon in and around Montreal.

We're going in that direction but turning it into an Arizona-themed vegan BBQ roadhouse cafe (or do we want this to be a Tennessee-style barbecue place that does straight-up MEAT; decisions, decisions, lol) connected to a truck-stop style convenience shop with electric car charging and a couple of gas/petrol pumps. (In our country, Goldman Mill, cars by law must be hybrid or fully electric, so both would be required.) Deciding if we want to go the full USian hog by offering shower facilities, but would that be needed in a microstate? Mulling over the idea.

Update: Yes, showers. We can have a nearby RV park and campground.

Thinking of this theme as MY CHOICE - diner/cafe or gas station or diner /cafe next to pumps of gas station. I am going with diner next to pumps at a non visiblet gas station. I chose it because this is another one week theme and frankly I am investing my money in the gorgeous bakery gem event. I do not see much furnishings to invest in for the diner at this point. I am using some old stuff.

Once I finish all the signage and all for the cafe and Neon Garage road stop shop -- it's a graphic design day for me -- it's off to build (another) Peaceful PetroCharge station. I hear you about the gem event sellables -- they are gorgeous but ridiculously expensive. A million coins in the AH for a tiny croissant? Hard pass. Thank goodness for the tried and true. I'm building a nation!

Can we please get a cover for this piece? That whole wall is basically useless unless you want to cover that whole piece up because we can't place anything underneath it.

Back when route 66 was popular for family road trips, I believe* there were diners with gas station/garage next door./attached Possibly often in more remote areas. That is what the setting of this theme seems like to me.

That said, the interior walls/flooring of the garage, and some of its decor, mystifies me. Is it a garage or a room for impromptu sock hops?

*Mostly based on movies/tv shows (Twilight Zone, for example, lol) since it was kinda before my time.

Pest Control (the poster's chosen name) insulting my intelligence didn't merit a rebuke, but my fact-filled reply did? Miss me with that. Your outrage is selective, rendering it meaningless.

Wishing you a peaceful day.

"Fact-filled"? "Peace"? You keep using these words, but I don't think you know what they mean. What you actually meant was "politically inflammatory" and "lacks self-awareness" — that's a factual statement. You could have chosen not to attend the argument, but you escalated it instead. And yes, I am absolutely outraged that you insulted his military service at all, much less by labelling him a hired killer. You chose not only to insult this particular veteran, but all current and former service members with your words. You're self-righteousness is neither peaceful nor factual; it's just loud.

Have the day you deserve.

I agree but isn't a cover just going to let you put things under it. If that's the case things are still going to be covered up

I covered mine with sheetrock from the theme in the yodepot and it is quite simple to decorate it. Come and look.

Considering the source of this moronic, juvenile and immature comment, I'm letting this slide...

The location of the kitchen door feels off when I consider that the drive-thru window is in front of the building. I may have to do some rearranging, or accept that it is what it is, lol.

Yes, the exclusive comes with the yocash house. If you buy the cash house, you get two of the same exclusive.

Ty I didn't see it when I went to the realtor and visited the house .Usually you can see it or maybe I just missed it .Thanks again

What's needed now to really get with the program is to release the proper kitchen thingabobs to reflect the era...

Most definitely a challenge to tackle, design and release...
