The ones about free cash, coins, items to read message box and have you go to a website and log in is the worst, i hope they can find a way to stop these people from advertising for them.

This is a good idea.
I'm not sure it would eliminate it from happening completely, as most folks don't read those announcements...but it might dissuade folks from expecting BVG to do something about their lack of judgement for falling for those sort of things.

Exactly but a giant WARNING: in red would probably catch a lot of eyes....

LOL...you'd think!
I totally agree with you about the idea.
I just have been around this game for a while. I've seen it happen. No matter how much or how well people are warned, they will still cry and try to blame anyone but themselves when they happen to fall for it anyways! Just me being cynical I guess.

Hard to stop that scam right there, unless they show the work in trade box but I don't know if that would/could be done, I don't buy any art unless I k now the person....I'd rather go without it.

A red flag is when the Seller is in a hurry. I mean, seriously? If they were in that bad of a rush they could buddy you and trade later when things are calmer.

Here's one I encountered with a scamming dude the other day. He was selling Pearl Earrings for 800k. During the trade, he puts the real Pearl Earrings in the trade window, but cancels the trade for no reason. Then he tells me to hurry and put the money in faster. During the second trade attempt, I put the coins in, he hesitates for a second, puts in a Pearl Bracelet and quickly clicks the Agree box. Obviously, I cancel out the trade and he kicks me. Noob!

I feel for those poor souls who fall for these tricks. I'd gladly be a Police Ninja and out those offenders. ;)

Love this idea..and as for popups. One's like that when entering the game wouldn't really bother me. It's the ones through out the game that drive me nuts. And I love the way bvg cleared that mess up too :)

I'm really glad there aren't any more keys and boxes pop ups! And that annoying pop up after you change clothes. :)

Me too. And when you'd change app. That popup drove me nuts lol

It's a relief to get in game and not have any of that in the way.

The scams have been discussed here and elsewhere since the beginning of yo. Personal responsibility has to play a part in this too. "kids" aren't going to read warning pop ups and as long as a person is after something for nothing or something too good to be true there will always be a scammer out there waiting to take advantage of that. It's a vicious cycle..... ;)

Ty and I agree all pop ups drive me nuts and I really truly believe a warning pop up should pop up upon log in, to make YoW a better and safe place. I think a lot has seen so many scams over the years it just gets old. I mean some people will scam all day long.......like wow get a life and play the dang game. I fear for people who go to these websites....thinking they will get free items, cash & coins but only in return to lose their accounts. :( Such a shame.

Good idea General. I hate to see people's YoWorld career destroyed before they have even had a chance to play the game. We just have to keep pushing the report button and choosing scam.
