I never used the ignore feature in the old forums. How did it work? If you "ignored" someone, would you not be able to read anything they posted and vice versa, and they would not be able to pm you?

I only had one person on the old forum blocked. You couldn't see their posts and I'm guessing you wouldn't be able to see their pms if they messaged you. However there was an easy option to read their post anyway.

I already have three lined up on this forum for the list.
