It's frustrating though when people come to buy expecting you to follow the Yobible always. Wish that we had a button that said ''only let people who know the value of that item join your event''.

My thoughts exactly! Well said, well spoken!

I always buy a few things just to resell when they get "hot". And I am pretty good at picking at least one thing that will. I see a lot of whining about prices though. Not my fault you didn't buy it when in the store. I will keep whatever I bought to make a lot of coins as long as it takes. I'll keep it forever before I sell it for 100k.

So I'm not pointing any fingers at anyone, its just something I see a lot. I always pay the price without complaining for the things I want. I wish everyone did.

I agree. People always want a bargain, but the seller wants to make a profit.

When buying, most of the time I am a bargainer. If we can't negotiate with the seller or if the price is firm and I don't like it, I just walk away. It is simple as that.

I mean what else I should do?, Argue with the seller and threaten a cartoon avatar using caps till I make them accept the price I want? LOL
I don't like the price, I don't buy, it's not the seller's problem neither mine.

Someone else will buy or if their price is really too high they will eventually have to lower it till someone buys their item.

On the other hand, same thing applies when I am selling. When I want a specific amount I say price is firm. Buy or fly no need to argue. If my price is not firm, I enjoy negotiating with the buyer so at the end of the trade both of us are happy.

that's why I go for the auction house to sell, no comments, no haggling, my price, if they don't like it they don't buy it, I made MILLIONS on the Menorah hats was getting like 1,250,000 that was the first day and I was the cheapest on there. If you look at the average sale prices on there they are usually much higher than guides, but I buy a lot from there too cause it's so hard to find items in trades.

Lots of hustlers out there selling high, but when it's their turn to pay they start whining. And it becomes difficult to sell things because they want it cheap.

yep, very true.

they bargain you down, then you see them selling it the next day for much more

i'm getting very jaded about this and pretty much stick to the anonymous AH so i don't have to have my crud griped, i can set my price i'm happy with and if anyone wants it for that, all is groovy

I hoard all my stuff too, but when they become really worthy, I don't want to give them up. And that's why I'm broke...

i agree with my item my price.

i also agree that resellers will sometimes use it to try to get items for cheaper that... are usually cheap to begin with (happened to me quite a bit but im nice so i'm just asking for it ;) )

i usually hoard when items are going out because i'm not sure what i will want in the future and if i really like the item i will buy a lot of it. i still always end up with to much of one thing and not enough of others, i usually sell for cheap tho, because most of it is just clutter to me. which is great for resellers. which i'm not. i don't buy unless i want for me.

What is funny is that I wish I met many players that ACTUALLY set a price on any item they are selling. All I seem to encounter these days are players who ask me to make an offer - It aint my item - so give me your price. When did it became so hard to get a price on an item. This has to be my pet peeve with players in game.

I'm pretty much scared to go on my own pricess. I don't know is it just me or some prices at the guides are so low, but others are crazy high. When I turn to put my own price i can't sell anything, but i guess guides are for that? Yes, I don't want to follow Yorehab or Yopriceville, but sometimes we have to. :(

Of course it's your item, therefore your price. :)

As I see it, it's like real life. I decide to do a Car Boot sale, which I understand is similar to a Garage Sale in the US.

I price my items and wait for people to buy. After a while, if my items do not sell I have a decision to make. Do I drop my prices and see them (hopefully) sell at a bit less than I wanted, or do I stick at that price and take the risk of them going home with me at the end?

If I drop the prices, by how much? How much of a drop in price am I willing to accept?

If I take them home with me, how desperate am I for the potential money? Will I be able to sell them at a later date? I will I have to store them in definitely? Would it be easier just to dump them in a skip and be done?

Of course it is easier here because we are not talking real money, and we don't have to worry about storage. :)

Agree!!! I would have said "My items my price PERIOD! " I hate when people try to set a price on my item according to what THEY think it's worth. And don't even get me started on the crybabies that want my YC items for a few measly fake ingame coins that they can earn, but I paid REAL CASH for! lawd!
