American minimum wage isn't that much, and most minimum wage people who I guess rely on tips? We have no tipping system here. We expect employers to pay wages. Trust me the average American worker brings in way more in wages than A New Zealander does doing the same job. So don't pull that one over on me. A waitress here gets no tips, just what her boss pays her. Minimum wage here is $13.75 - but a cucumber in winter will cost you $6.00. And of course someone on benifit is going to get way less.

Btw you don't want to try and buy a computer here. Compared to there.

It may look like some countries make more $$ per hour working but we pay out more in other things
A game which Yoworld is depends in peoples disposable income, what they have left to use on 'fun' things after food, bills, rent etc
and how much time they have to spend on 'fun' things too

Get your coffee somewhere besides Starbucks.

Thats just the cost of a regular coffee. No fancy crap like Starbucks. Just a regular little cafe. I live in New Zealand and isolated little country down at the bottom of the world. I have never even been to a star bucks, couldn't tell you where the nearest one even was.

When i visited back home(ohio) after 10 years of living in the UK, i was shocked at prices! i couldnt believe how much it cost just to get a meal at a fast food place. The minimum wage didnt go up that much!! I spent the whole 3 weeks being grumpy because all my favorite things seemed to have doubled at least in price :/

The cost of living in the USA has gone through the roof in the last couple of years... We are on a fixed income..so the bills have to be paid first... then if I have money left, I buy YoCash... This is my entertainment.. and some months I will be able to buy YC and other months I won't... just the way it is...

Well my whole question was - how much does it actually cost and Egyptian to buy yc relative to their currency value, and how much the average person is able to earn. There may be a very good reason that they don't put much into the game, as in there is no money to spare. Or they could be as rich as you and I - Thats my question. Rmr everyone is paying in American Dollars - it all gets converted once we pay. For all I know 660 yc could be a whole weeks wages for a lot of Egyptians which would explain why they don't spend as much.

This question is a good one Borgessa. Also some of the replies have enlightened me as to what it takes for folks in other countries to buy YoCash.

then 12 players in the UK buy yocash but only one leg of one person in Egypt buys yocash
sorry my maths is bad but the point is that more buy yocash in the UK so BVG is going to bring out more items for UK players
does that make sense now ?

lol! "One leg of one person". Love it. Excellent way to picture the percentages.

I wondered if this was correct, so I did a search: "The federal minimum wage for covered nonexempt employees is $7.25 per hour effective July 24, 2009. The federal minimum wage provisions are contained in the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Many states also have minimum wage laws. In cases where an employee is subject to both the state and federal minimum wage laws, the employee is entitled to the higher of the two minimum wages. "

yup you're right. I googled it too RI is actually $8.00/hr, which is still low, because our cost of living is outrageous. a 3 bed apartment goes for $1200/month+. Gas is 3.78/Gal today. Milk is 4.50/Gallon

GA and WY are $5.15/hr.

I honestly dont think he meant that the UK was going to get all the consideration for new themes.... I think he just meant that if the UK wanted one thing but other countries who didnt pay as much wanted another, they would probably listen to the uk before the other lesser supporting countries. He just used the two countries as an example because of the equal player base.... then again, how the hell should i know what he meant? I have never met the man and cannot read minds over the internet!!
