Today somebody in game was asking for money and then said he made 1.1m asking 100k today. It's just sad how some players (old players usually dressed as new) take advantage of other's kindness.

Sorry this has happened to all of you. Similar situations have happened to me also. It's hard to know what to do.

Those 100 coin freebies. I love them! I cringe when I see people say they delete them. I am down to my last knife set. It really causes me sadness! And the toasters, another favorite. I use all those little items all over the place.

Also I like to give them to my friends I get to start playing the game. It really helps keep their interest levels up to give them stuff regularly. :)

I'm not proud. I mix my toasters right in there in the same room I have my cat clock!

I have a hard time gifting people I don't know - new or not. But, I also tend to get a little suspicious if I see several new folks on the wishlist straight in a row on the same page, or if I gift several new folks in the same period of time and notice they have their apts decorated quite similarly (the 1c piano in exactly the same location and the 1c lighted rail things at the same location in the apt, etc.). I hate to sound so cynical, but I'd rather give my hard earned stuff to folks who would genuinely appreciate it! I hope to learn if certain folks are legit or not so I can start gifting them as well!

Try hosting an event where you're giving away coins. The secondary accounts come out. I even told one I would give their primary account 5k if they brought it into the room. Their primary account had been to the event, twice.

Why I just give coins rather than items. It will take them numerous accounts to gain anything. Newbies would enjoy even the smallest amount :)
