Thats the last thought that would come to my mind, I know that if I ask to buy an item I REALLY WANT, I ask for a way higher price than both guides, and I bet I will get that item much quicker than those "Going by guides", Like I said, if I wanted to sell these eyes, which in my mind are worth millions, then thats how much I would attempt to sell for.

I just do it before the guide decides it's the next big thing, hot and worth 25 or more times more than what the guide says today.

That junk happened to me back in the day on the Animated Polar Bear Lights. I was looking when they were allegedly 25k....I finally didn't find one til they were 3.2m

I learned a valuable lesson from that experience. offer more than the guide, if the offer isn't high enough, make a new offer. Eventually you'll hit a price where someone is going to be willing to part with the item and it'll come much cheaper than the possible outcome - like the polar bear lights situation of mine for example.

In a free market like Yo, it's supply and demand. Things will only get sold if someone is willing to pay the asking price.

I saw one in AH for like 3.5m I could only imagine they know they're selling a rare gem of some sort to even decide at 3m+ lol

I think people trying to up a price by an outrageous number don't deserve my business.

I hate to repeat what's been said but price guides are not standards to follow for buying or selling. They are suppose to just give you a general idea of what the items are seen to be going for in the game. Not rules that you have to follow them. It should be your item your price. It's certainly someone's choice to sell something for 5 million, but it's also the potential buyers' choice to not buy or buy from that person.

If the pricing was the other way around, in which someone is selling something for 600k-1M that was 5M the previous day you are likely not to consider that ridiculous and be against the "your item, your price" right?

On the contrary,

I think these "Vintage Guns" will be next on the list of hot items. They are rare Jems. Just watch :P LOL! I haven't seen much of these around.

I try to do it that way, but it often works out that I either put it on hold or suddenly need the item after it's jacked up

Just a general question for those against pricejacking...

What are your thoughts on someone, obviously me, offering 1m coins for an item that the bible thinks is only like 60k?

Now what do you think about the fact that there are still no sellers to be found at 1m?

Does that maybe give you some pause and thought that maybe the bible is just full of it and following it isn't in your best interest?

Zynga's last release included a 1 coin avenue with wallpapers/floors. You couldn't change the floors and walls but you could sell the wallpaper/floor back to the store for idk how many coins, so you would profit. So people bought numerous houses and did this.

Every time you buy a house you get carpets, there were some "ask 10 friends" houses that you could get for 1 coin
some folks got heaps of them .. lets see 99, 1 coin houses thats 99 carpets you can sell back to the game for X amount

I just sold my yo survivor collectibles for 7 m each.....guy bought 1( yo survivor game anchor guide: 750k to 1m) a week ago and contacted me last night here on forums to buy the other 2 that I had (guides: Yos interactive arrow ambush 750k to 1m & interactive paintball 750k to 1m). Also sold the net a while back for around 5.5m (guides: 750k to 1m).

He couldn't find them anywhere and has been looking for around 3+ weeks I believe.

I also sold spies under water escape for around 5.6m (guide 300k to 400k), sold Halloween interactive dracula kiss for 6.7m (guide 400 to 500k).

Guides are whack and you can tell hab is mostly woman because a lot of things that are soooo cute is jacked.

Just sayin

If this is about the wgn hair.. never will be anywhere close to what it was, so trying makes little sense but then neither does this game at times. They tried t jack it seconds after everyone realized it was no longer in store.

And a lot of supply and demand goes into what you can sell for and what others will pay. Congrats that is some awesome coinage.

I sell for what I would be willing to pay. I buy for what I am willing to spend. It is a really easy concept and it works well for me. :)

Same here. It's a good strategy. though there will always be some who hold to the priceguides for dear life lol.

I have no problem with people naming any price for an item that is rightfully theirs, people have the ability to use price guides if they want. What I don't like, is Price Jacking.
