im not a fan of dressing up like a princess i already have so many princess dresses but for me this wasn't bvg's fault. pretty much every thing last year was a long princess dress. after awhile they all start to look the same.i dont' think the quality is that bad i have really liked the hairs they have made . they need to change the coding on the moose hat so that my hair doesn't remove itself , but honestly i'm not sure the moose hat would look good if you got to keep your hair on wearing it cuz its so small and snug . maybe more of a boy item. or for girls who want to be bald. *shrugs* i don't know . they really are missing out when it comes to pricing cuz lotsof things they are not only making coins, but they are making very few coins, yoworldians are quite use to paying yocash for so if they were to make them coins they could make them higher. and other things, we are use to being drastically lowereven in coins. pricing is def completely different. its going to be so hard to keep track of the going rate of items when every color was sold for a different amount. its already hard to keep track of whta is and isn't in the store even. i dont know if they realize how big trading is on this game. i don't even want to think about the nightmare of selling after a year of really odd pricing. some constancy at the very minimum would be nice. but overall , i think they are doing a good job. they are new. let them all get use to this game.

If you don't like the items, let BVG know, as you have done so respectfully also I might add. This release was rushed. No HHs, no make up, facial features etc. No furniture theme with it. I understand they do not have yet have a complete team of 3D artists, so, lets wait till they do. I think the majority of us would prefer to see a re-release of some of the not so older themes that were closed in the last year. Everyone still wants them, there is no danger of upsetting anyone with a re-release of valued items and I would certainly be more inclined to buy items that I missed out on because Zynga in their cash grab greed closed out nearly every worthwhile theme, one after the other this time last year.

I'm talking of themes like Wild West. Playhouse, Yorient, Golden Egypt, Ancient Rome, India. Fairytale Fantasy. There is nothing in these themes that is so coveted that it would risk upsetting anyone and many, many players didn't get to finish houses because these themes closed up so quickly, who could possibly have kept up with the madness that Zynga doled out to us this time last year. lol

I am mad that instead of giving respect to a national holiday... they demean it by calling it FoJ 2014. They can spell out Canada Day... but not MY countries national holiday the 4th of July. I am a proud American...(no matter what idiot we have in the seat) and respectful to others... I would never in-properly miss-spell a holiday of another country or their countries name.
This is pretty insulting to tell you the truth. -_-

I don't believe they meant any disrespect. Instead, they tried to distinguish this year's theme from previous year's by the former owners or else all would be melded together in inventory. We have already had Fourth of July, White House, Patriotic and Memorial Day themes..all red, white and blue. I am sure they were just trying to come up with a different theme designation. ;)

Because we already have a 4th of july theme and they would get mixed up. This is petty.

I have to agree, I'm sure there was no disrespect intended.

And at least our new Canadian owners put out some items for the 4th. Imagine how we Canadians felt when our former American owners ignored us for the first 5 years of Yo's existence.

Kudos again to BVG.

Perhaps it was done to clearly differentiate this year's release in trade. Every year it's been called some variation.

The few mexican stuff we have in game i can count with my fingers, latino players have always been ignored, now worst with no latino other languages forums. Please do not whine about being ignored. You dont know the hurtful meaning of ignored.

I don't believe I was whining, merely making a point...

As for a Mexican theme, we have had a few items, perhaps a bit fewer than Canadian, but yes, it's close. I'm game for a trip down to Mexico in Yo.

As for the other language forum, you're allowed to post here in whatever language you like, as long as you post a translation, which can be easily done on line. I see no reason, with today's technology, to segregate players based on language. I'd like to hear what my fellow Yos have to say, regardless of what their native language is.

It's happened before, it'll happen again. They need new ways to title similar items, and with items getting released for the same holidays every year, how many times can they really not label things the same thing before they start to abbreviate, shorten and become selective. Didn't they call Christmas something else before too, like "xmas" or something? It happens. It's just how the items are catalogued. Sorry it has upset you though...

OH yah and getting back to the Mexican idea for a minute, if BVG is listening: Think really BIG sombreros. I like big hats. TYVM. :)

(even though I am currently wearing a really small one...I like really small hats too!)

I think plenty of us would love to complete houses that were left unfinished. I think decorators would love it also. it would keep them buying yocash and keep them in game before boredom makes them go elsewhere. Decorators have had nothing for so long and Zynga did sting them with the removal of just about everything worthwhile to decorate with.
Anyway, just a thought! :)

I would have no issue with this. There is nothing showing in the store right now (of the expired items) that has significantly appreciated in value such that putting them back would upset the Yo economy. Collectibles of course should remain expired, as well as I think hairs and clothing, because they DO appreciate in value.

Yes, I did forget to mention that. Collectibles are a definate no go zone and I agree about the clothing and hair. Definately no release of those items, just the furniture items.
I think I could spend quite a bit of cash buying up furniture to finish my houses. It would be nice to have something to do whilst we wait for BVG to get their 3D art team ready.

Also no rerelease of the original Mafia vs. Police, that theme got hit once already and that WOULD negatively impact the economy.
