Who was asking for this? This has screwed up my ability to even decorate. It doesn't open MY INVENTORY at all, just the stores. I DONT WANT TO BUY ANYTHING. I want to use what I have in my inventory. What a freaking mess again! It really baffles me as to why you spend your time doing this instead of fixing real issues with the game or making items and themes that are more original and functional. (wheres the smdh icon?)

To use items you've already purchased, all you need to do is click the "My Stuff" button at the top of the window.

I got rid of it....

It's awful, unusable, hard to get stuff from the store to the room, can't find anything. How do I get rid of this? I will not play with this mess.

Apparently others don't like it either, followed direction above and now got my game playable again.

I played around with the "NEW" new store set-up & it's much easier and more flexible than the old "new" store. I am still playing around with it, but I am willing to try it out for a spin.

I would like it much better if I weren't limited to this laptop. A larger screen would make it much better.

no lag during decorating, no lag during purchase, it wham bam thank you "FAST"
easily access my inventory.

i do understand it is not going to be everyone's cup of tea, and that's ok
i didn't like the first one that came out and voiced my opinion then too
but im not against change if it helps MY gameplay and so very willing to give new things a try, and THIS did improve my gameplay.

i know a lot are saying pulling items from store is hard, but that was a problem I had with the old store, ALSO, most times, after decorating from the old store, i would lose my room.

The new thing shows up but you cannot use it because you can only drag and drop stuff in Puffins 'theater mode' but using that mode the stores don't show up.
Because a lot of people still play YW through this browser on their tablets I urge you to please KEEP the option open in the settings to decorate the old way for people who need to.
That option is still here now and so please keep it there in the future as well otherwise I and many others would have to stop playing after 10 years simply because we can't decorate anymore.

Hi Lulu. I use Puffin & it was confusing at first but there is a way that it works.

In Puffin I used to have to go to theatre mode in order to edit my room.

Now I just select mouse instead of theatre mode. Then I click on the chair icon for edit & the mouse mode lets me drag & drop items into the room.

You can drag and drop the items into the room , but you CAN NOT arrange them while purchasing when not in theatre mode ....the old method allows you to arrange your room , buy and save all in one action in theatre mode. The new way requires you to buy your items UNARRANGED , sight unseen, like buying clothes without a fittin room, exit the screen and then arrange.
To me this is not a step forwards, its backwards and that is why I am urging BVG to leave the old method available to us....I do most of my play , purchasing and decorating on my mobile/puffin....not being able to edit and purchase in one shot will pretty much discourage me from in store purchases.

How can I change back the way I used to be able to decorate? I HATE the way it was changed. Much too hard...I just tried to do a room and everything disappeared!!! It is just frustrating.

I cannot express how much I love this. It's less laggy, the process is a whole lot more fluid, this literally feels like a professional decorator's toolkit.

Future features I'd like to see with this:

-The ability to turn black spacing on/off while in edit mode.

-The ability to choose which layer we want to place an item on. It can be as simple as pressing Ctrl + pg up or Ctrl + pg down to change the way an item is layered. I know BVG has had trouble with this in the past... However, I still hope that one day a workaround or epiphany will hit! Even if it's after the HTML5 conversion.

This new way to edit your room sucks! I hate it! Much more difficult to use!

I find this "new and improved" new way of decorating to be MUCH easier than the first attempt. It does take a little playing around with it, but I think I will like it a lot.
Here is a room I just did -- it's the coin MF Living Room. I expanded out the floor and walls to make the room bigger. I was playing around with what items I wanted, and decided to use the rugs over the tiles I had placed. In the past, I would have had to move the rugs and take out all the tiles one by one. With the new decorating method, I only had to delete the tiles from my shopping cart. This pleased me tremendously. It's very easy to go thru my inventory & I discovered that you can expand the search screen for ease of scrolling, and then minimize it to decorate. Wowie!

Julie, even with the old room editor you can remove items from your cart – when the pop-up shows asking whether you want to purchase the items you can click on any of the names to do so. Then you can either proceed to purchase, or hit cancel on the pop-up and continue decorating.

Thank you for your continued feedback on Decor Store 2.0. I wanted to pop into this thread and leave a few comments to address some of your concerns regarding this update.

Some common replies on the updated Decor Store revolve around the sentiments "Why fix what's not broken? and "We didn't ask for this."

Many of you have commented that the previous Decor Store works fine, but I ask you -- does it really? Is it a flawless experience, or have you simply learned to use its flaws? For new players just starting their Yo adventures, the original Decor Store can be a bit overwhelming and clunky, given its idiosyncrasies and... quirks.

Now, don't get me wrong, it is completely fine if you are genuinely happy with the original Decor Store, but we have to continue moving forward to make sure Yo celebrates its 22nd anniversary in another 11 years. Change is a necessary vehicle for innovation, and innovation is necessary for growth. It is such an awesome feeling that YoWorld just celebrated it's 11th anniversary, but that also means this game and some of its features are starting to show their age too.

For comparison's sake, we can all agree that the rotary phone also worked fine. But had we not continued to upgrade and improve upon the original design, we'd be living in a world without mobile phones in our back pockets. Some may argue that would be a good thing, but ultimately change and innovation allow us to move forward and progress.

Another fun fact about Decor Store 2.0 is that the majority of the update was based on player feedback we received. The YoWorld Forums are a wonderful outlet to post threads, comments, reviews, questions, concerns, etc., but there are other venues in which our team gathers information. Just because you may not have seen a player specifically request something on the Forums, does not mean the requests did not reach us.

With all of that said, I invite you to please continue leaving your feedback and bug reports. The team behind Decor Store 2.0 is very eager to hear what you have to say about it, and hopefully with the insight I provided above, it will help to showcase why we made the decisions we did.
