When I began playing the game I spent so much YC that Zynga sent me a care package for Halloween 2010! An 'I love Yoville' T-shirt, a key chain with the Venus Fly Trap on it and a couple other lil knick knacks. I was told they only sent out about 150 of these. AND LET ME TELL YOU DID I FEEL SPECIAL! So yea, I agree, if it makes you feel special then I'm all for it! After all, isn't that why we all play and spend real money on virtual items? To feel 'Special' and of course have fun! xoxo

As long as feeling special doesnt equal feeling superior then yeah, go for it! I felt good when Greg acknowledged the contribution paying players make to the game. it made me feel that my money was appreciated as well. I personally dont feel the need to wear it as a badge, but i have no problem with people who do or that are proud of it. its when people start talking down to non badge wearers or feel as if their opinion matters more that I have to say something. That person without a badge this month might spend 100 dollars next month... and even if they dont, they still deserve to be treated with respect.

ummm... i literally am lost for words on how to reply. how you got that these results show there are more nonsupporters than supporters (people who pay to play) baffles me.... This poll was if you support (ie, like/want) the badge, not if you have one.

EDIT TO ADD: most people who voted, HAVE A BADGE and don't want/like it.

Do you think that everyone who voted no is a "non-supporter?" I voted no, and i actually have a gold badge should i choose to display it. So what was your point again?

nonsupporters of the badge does not mean that they don't pay. many of the nonsupporters who voted NO, have a badge. I think you are confused with what this poll and what the results mean or to far into your gold badge to want to understand that the majority do not like them.

I actually voted don't care, but after 2+ days of this I am beginning to. I liked the idea to begin with and thought cool, when there is a theme I love I'll have a gold badge. However, just a couple of really snotty people have kind of ruined it for me. I still like the idea, but I have a much clearer picture of PEOPLE I don't like.

You defined supporters as "someone who buys cash or coin" which would make a non supporter someone who does not buy cash or coin ... and how that then relates to the poll makes no sense. Now you are saying non supporters means non supporters of the badge ... and that works with supporters means "someone who buys cash or coin"? That's where the confusion comes from.

-.- looks like i have to get into this. The poll is about if you support the idea of giving people badges for buying yocash/yocoins aka "supporting the game"... Not everyone who clicked no is a nonsupporter (have no badge) because some supporters (who have badges) agree that they don't want to be seen as having more money to spend on the game, others don't want it to demoralize people for not buying yocash or create a caste system. However for the people who said yes, most agree on that people should be given praise for keeping Yoworld alive.

So you werent talking about non paying players? Just about supporters of the badges? yes, i was confused then. i didnt realise you were talking about supporting the badges only. I thought you were talking about non supporters of the game since you did post this... By supporter I mean someone who buys cash or coin in the game.
As i said before, a lot of supporters answered no, so your idea that there are more non-supporters based on this poll might be a bit misleading.
