Some common replies on the updated Decor Store revolve around the sentiments "Why fix what's not broken? and "We didn't ask for this."
Many of you have commented that the previous Decor Store works fine, but I ask you -- does it really? Is it a flawless experience, or have you simply learned to use its flaws? For new players just starting their Yo adventures, the original Decor Store can be a bit overwhelming and clunky, given its idiosyncrasies and... quirks.
Now, don't get me wrong, it is completely fine if you are genuinely happy with the original Decor Store, but we have to continue moving forward to make sure Yo celebrates its 22nd anniversary in another 11 years. Change is a necessary vehicle for innovation, and innovation is necessary for growth. It is such an awesome feeling that YoWorld just celebrated it's 11th anniversary, but that also means this game and some of its features are starting to show their age too.

Some may argue that would be a good thing, but ultimately change and innovation allow us to move forward and progress.
Another fun fact about Decor Store 2.0 is that the majority of the update was based on player feedback we received. The YoWorld Forums are a wonderful outlet to post threads, comments, reviews, questions, concerns, etc., but there are other venues in which our team gathers information. Is it just me, MissTiFied, or is this new method of decorating... faster? As in, less laggy?
JulieHootieScraps (108384802) wrote:I find this "new and improved" new way of decorating to be MUCH easier than the first attempt. It does take a little playing around with it, but I think I will like it a lot.
Here is a room I just did -- it's the coin MF Living Room. I expanded out the floor and walls to make the room bigger. I was playing around with what items I wanted, and decided to use the rugs over the tiles I had placed. In the past, I would have had to move the rugs and take out all the tiles one by one. With the new decorating method, I only had to delete the tiles from my shopping cart. This pleased me tremendously. It's very easy to go thru my inventory & I discovered that you can expand the search screen for ease of scrolling, and then minimize it to decorate. Wowie!

Wait until you need to do a bit of hoarding
Click on one tile, drag it into the room, then go to your shopping cart and keep hitting the + button next to that item until you reach your required amount![]()
Great room too! Really love that corner with the windows and curtains......imma steal that idea and pass it off as my brilliant idea![]()

Not you at all AST, it's one of the reasons why I loved it so much - what you're experiencing is real![]()

There is zero lag, and because you can now scroll, you can zip through your entire invo - something I NEVER EVER did with the old deco method because I wasn't going to click through 4,000 + pages, no way lol
I'm so glad that more peeps are giving it a chance.
I wasn't being a contrarian previously, IMHO this method IS far superior to what we had previously and the improvements are the icing on the cake

I really don't understand why you work on things like this before fixing things that are wrong in game or providing us decent items for decent prices? Daily high priced items, constant animated items, daily money grabs, & slamming releases are more important to you than giving us a quality life in Yo. Take care of the horrible lag, the quality of homes, allowing us to place all items wherever we want in your challenge rooms instead of finding out that we can't place crap in certain areas so that we can't decorate it as we truly want to, & the ridiculous high priced yc items that when they are on sale are more the price that they should have been to start with. I'm sure that others have many other thoughts on what should be worked on 1st instead of a new feature. When will you actually listen to the ppl of Yo as a whole instead of just a chosen few or what you think needs to be done/improved on?

Not sure if you are aware of this trick yet, Pandaid, but if you'd like, you can shrink the size of the store window so that it's not hidden by Facebook's side-clutter. There is a bar at the bottom of the window with two lines at the center, and you can shrink it to have only one column like I did in the image below. This way, all of your options are kept visible in that one column. It'd be just like decorating regularly, except with all your options being on the side as opposed to the bottom of the scren.

I would love to have seen a search by page/line number instead of all this. I still have to scroll through almost 6750 lines of items. It is impossible to do either way.
Trying to find items is very hard if you do not know the name of the item. Specially older items. Would have been nice if I could have jump to page 5534 instead of clicking over 5k times to get there. Even the new way I still have to scroll forever to see the stuff in the back of my inventory. Which after 20 mins I never reached.
Oh and forget ever looking at in use stuff. I can only get it to open to the L's nothing after that shows up. Ever.
Hope they can add a search by page/line so we can see the stuff in the back of our inventory.
