This thread served its purposed. The Vikings answered the question posed to them. Don't let that answer get lost in all this speculation.

Yes the Viking did answer the question :)

Nope, not really. They could have easily specifically named it as an item either way, and it wasn't. :?

Honestly all this angst over a protecting the pixel wealth of a religious icon is a bit disturbing.

Its like what the item actually is and symbolizes, has been lost in the rush to protect its elite status or how much someone can get for its sale. Its all very Indiana Jones, lol. Except with the holy grail or ark of the covenant. Interesting.

Nobody learned anything from Indiana Jones!! LOL. The Ark of the Covenant was taken from him and hidden in some government warehouse, and the Holy Grail fell down some giant earth crack never to be seen again!

I honestly dont care either way if they release it or not. I dont own it, so I have nothing to lose, but I know what its like to lose coins spent on something, so I do have sympathy for that. This debate is interesting to participate in, though - although there really can be no winners. Especially given what kind of item it is.

Using that theory then all Easter, Christmas, Jewish items should've been removed as well. Those are all religious.

Santa and the Easter bunny, presents, Xmas trees, choc eggs, garlands, flashing lights etc etc etc.....are not religious items. ;)

They represent a religious holiday....therefore they're religious.[/quote]
Well if you insist, we should petition for BVG to remove all said items. Maybe send a complaint to Zynga for being religious in the first place by releasing a xmas and easter themes.

I don't think Halloween is religious...it is a pagan holiday....not sure about whether wiccans consider it religious or not....

Yep, its pagan. Nothing christian about it, in fact there are christians who wont even celebrate it. :)

I think if it was called samhain and included traditional samhain icons wiccans might consider it "religious" but i'm not wiccan so am not sure about that.

Yeah i know a few people from work who dont celebrate it on the same grounds. :)

I've seen a few samhain rooms done from people who are wiccan. They were amazing. I am not sure too many halloween items were used in them. A few thanksgiving, but not too many halloween.
