The average price for a bowl of strawberries is 695 000 coins. Is it really that rare that it justifies that kind of price, how will new players entering the game compete with prices like that?

Maybe they're good strawberries.. But yeah, new people to the game aren't easily going to be able to handle prices like that for simple items.

I guess they won't be able to afford strawberries?

I have to agree when Zynga did the re-release of items, some of the collectables and my fun was lost. I had been saving for awhile to get one item finally got it and then within the month they released it. I do not want to see rerelease of items.

On the one hand yes... they would be great for those who missed out yet at the same time the rarity of items will fly out the window so resale will be down.... :o

By the way, the major premise of this thread is incorrect and "everyone does not like a good re release."

If Zynga items are put into a store permanently and never removed, there wont be resale value. This would allow BVG to replace Z items. The new items could be removed from stores to allow them to become rare and gain resale value.

This would also help drive the yocash rate down. As the majority of items will be easier to obtain people won't need millions of coins to buy items, thus decreasing the need for millions of coins.

The alternative to using re-releases to stabilize the yoconomy is to remove all Zynga items from the stores and never release any of them again and make all Z items untradeable. This will remove the current market completely and people will have nothing so spend their coins/yocash on except instore bvg items. This will allow people who paid millions to not lose out, but will also allow BVG items to take precedence over Z items. It's a win win situation.

I think a better idea is to keep things the way they are..that way when bvg starts releasing, we'll not only have the old stuff to save for we'll have new :)

Some people will just never get it. We do not want a Zynga-style re-release. We want the items put in the store and to remain in the store to kill the black market, price jacking and coin selling. Sorry that may mess up your game but I do not understand the sense of entitlement that some have knowing that most of these items were obtained from shady sources to begin with.

It's ok many of us are happy with the way the game is right now. For the ones that aren't well, not much we can say about that. It is what it is. And Bvg is taking good care of the game. And that's all that matters.

The problem as I see it, is that people have millions and millions of coins. Literally. Nothing to spend them on but stuff they have 1) already owned at one point or 2) have been trying to get. So they buy something they consider cheap (probably 1 or 2 mil) jack the price up buy a mil or so and try to sell it for higher. The only people willing to buy these even higher priced items are more of the same people with millions of coins.

People like me are just left sitting on the sidelines watching the price of items rise up, up, up to the point of stupidity. We can't decorate (stuff costs too much) and there is nothing new to buy for the little coins we do have. The game becomes boring and worthless. (Why bother playing if there is nothing to do??)

I could sell my entire inventory and then I'd have millions of coins. For what purpose? To turn around again and buy just 1 or 2 items?? What fun is that??? Oh wow, I have 40 empty houses now but I own pink rets. Big whoop.

When I started playing the game was so much fun. YC rates was 600c to 1YC. 600 small coins. Now I'd have to sell a yokidney for 1YC. It's retarded. It's stupid. It's frustrating and aggravating. I loved this game so much I put Yo in my budget. I spent thousands on this game.

Then price started to rise. Through the roof. I couldn't keep up with the fast as hell releases and discontinued themes. I got discouraged. I stopped decorating. My passion fell. I was lucky to get a few hairs. I started to hate the pricejackers, the scammers and the coin sellers. I stopped going to sales and auctions as I couldn't compete with the pricing I found. A chair that used to sell for 5-10k was now 80-90k. It got worse. Nothing in stores for coins could be used to finish a house.

What was the point of playing? Then things started breaking and the game slid downhill. Now all that are left are people with millions and millions of coins and no way to bring prices back down.

I support re-releasing as it's the only way to get pricing down to a reasonable level. If you are afraid that the stuff you own is not going to be worth millions anymore, think about this - should it really be worth millions in the first place? Only items like collectibles and one day themes should have value, not every freaking item in the game.

People will quit if items are re-released. I hear that all the time. Really? Really now? You'd quit after waiting all this time for new items and you'd quit because pricing would be brought back down? Zynga re-released items. I was finally able to get a few high school items I would never, ever, have been able to afford. I want items for me, not to resell.

I'm in the game right now, looking at a few things in the AH. Elite inset window - 650,000 coins. Mafia poker table 1,900,000 coins. A Japanese freaking coffee table for 650,000 coins?!?!?! Floral Tiki bed 20,199,000 coins??? Seriously?!?!?!?!? 20 mil for a BED???

BVG may have bought the game but it is still in tatters. Until decorating is made easy and fun again, what is the point? This is NOT "who wants to be a billionaire". Pricing disgusts me, people are still greedy. The yoconomy is not stabilizing, it's running amok all over the place.

Things like this make me NOT want to support the game. Ever.

That's certainly not a win/win to those of us that enjoy collecting certain items. that's a big part of the games population as well.
I can only speak for myself but if they were to do that or rerelease everything like you propose. my wallet and myself would be leaving the game.

BVG can not win in this situation. People are going to leave no matter what. If items are re-released, people will leave. If they don't re-release them then people like me are going to walk away at some point. This game is NO LONGER fun without the ability to decorate.

So the axe falls like this.... which part of the yo-population do they want to keep?

There is no pleasing solution - and I doubt they'd miss me and my lousy $20 every 2 or 3 months, but I can't be the only one about to walk out if the prices do not stabilize.
