I used to write down when they were due. :haha: I was glad when they got rid of it.

Me 09' here...was interesting stuff going on with Z at the time. Some of it I miss, like the contests and gifts to friends that meant getting more coins and more boxes (which I had to do in the wee hours of the night because I could not get on during regular hours) BUT it also meant making sure that you were there for your buds, but I am glad for no bakery in the factory. I burned soooo much cause never knew when I could be on and oh yeah the lag time...there was a ton of that. Had to empty inventory to rooms, that I am just now finding again. And I am finding stuff in homes/rooms that I had totally forgotten about. Most of it you cannot trade, but it is still there for me to use......Whew is all I have to say about the ride...haha

I'm a moldy oldie too. I remember when they first introduced the bakery. I hated it. Don't miss it. I do miss some of the incredible and creative decorating, the rooms ratings, and hanging out and chatting with fellow Yo's.

Full Package (126579776) wrote:I had to slow the game for myself, since BVG doesn't seem interested in doing that. There's way too many players that need something every day or they might lose their minds...or at least interest in Yo. But I don't like to play that way, so I don't.

I barely pay attention to the new stuff any more. What I learn about it I mostly learn in here or by visiting decorated rooms. I'll not be driven by events or specials or mysteries or anything outside of what I want to do and when I want to do it.

I wish BVG would take the time to make things special again. They've fallen for the same trap that Zynga did early in 2012. They push to keep people engaged, rather than risk losing them by allowing them to get bored and hungry for more. So they stuff us with crap until it feels like standing in front of a firehose. And then we get numb or burned out because it is just too much.

And that's the truth of it. :)

I have to agree with you. Things transition so quickly that sometimes you cannot even absorb the ideas from one theme to the next. I go to the new stuff and always look for things I can use "later". but I used to go through a new theme and get everything I could afford, thinking "later"...that is not working out so well, because if I get caught up in the new, later never happens. I am personally going to step back again, thank you for the reminder that we need to do just that. This game is supposed to be relaxing, not a mad heat....

I started in 2009, but I must not have played much back in the beginning or didn't play consistently because I don't have a lot of the old stuff, nor do I even remember some of the old themes. I do remember burning cookies and some of the other things people have mentioned. I play mainly for the decorating. I've never done much socializing, events, or anything like that.

I'm still here... I go away for a couple of years then come back (usually in time for Halloween, haha). As long as Yo is still alive, I'll never truly leave. :D.
