I don't know if anyone else is having this issue, but I literally cannot decorate. All I am getting is the object trailing and leaving fragments of itself all over the room wherever I move it . Then I just have broken images all over the room of what I was decorating and even when I click save the room stays this way. Then I go into another room and the objects follow me into the next room still all fragmented. It's chaos. This game has literally become unplayable for me. I decorate, it's the only reason I play this game. And now I can't, at all.

I hate it!! Why are you doing this to us??

I'd be willing to buy another to see if this is item specific, but I don't want to pay 55k for a vacuum I already own. Does anyone else want to see if the vacuum causes this to happen? You end up losing your item if it works (so maybe cancel it out ahead of time). Were other ppl getting charged for their own items? Why is a gem event item having a price associated to it?

Not really had time to try it out yet but this makes me a little hesitant now. Has this been addressed yet? Does anyone know? Don't really feel like buying my items again or loosing them for that matter. I see a lot are saying good things about this so was going to give it ago now that I have a little time but now not sure if I should.

That's interesting, however what i did was remove it from the cart and by doing so, I lost my own item.
It is still gone and I have not yet heard a response from bvg.

I've since then won a cheap vacuum cleaner for just over 10k so I'm half expecting vikings to tell me I still have the one I own but no, this'd be the second one I bought.

Getting frozen after a long edit would be almost worse than losing an item (depends on the item)

I had the same thing happen to me with an eating alcove that I won as a prize. I was trying to place it in my room and 2 popped in the room I pulled one out and when I almost hit saved I noticed I was about to pay yocash for it.

Thank you for responding! Well this solves that mystery, it is not item specific. Was the eating alcove the freebie breakfast alcove from the EAP2019 theme or a different theme? I guess it doesn't matter, it must just be a random thing not associated with particular items but then again I have no clue how these things happen, and why it didn't happen to other items. I just cannot take a chance that I lose the work I put into a room edit. I would rather send in the ticket to get the item back than lose tedious efforts of moving of items into my rooms (either in hoarding storage or when creative juices are working.. that is a rare thing for me).

Question: Did you lose the item after you removed it from the cart? Or did you cancel out and lose your work?

Exactly on why my response was a bit sarcastic. I would hate to see something like that happen after working on a room for sometime and a lot of times it takes me a good bit of time to do some rooms. I don't want to lose items either so it all seems like a big mess. I hope they get this sorted and you do get your item back Loie.

No this hasn't happened to me yet. This sounds crazy! Did you clear your cache? (I'm just kidding, I have never had that do any good.)

I just see the window of store items (or my stuff) that i've moved to the right go away when i try to drag something into the room, there is a delay when i see nothing being grabbed or showing up in the room.

the vacuum means little to me but the glitch makes me not trust this method til it is fixed.

I know they'll eventually get it back to me so I'm glad I opted to save my work

unrelated: how on earth is that vacuum worth 10yc? these prices.. where do they come from (in db I noticed gem event items having yc values)

I like the new updates and I can work with it, but I am not going to until a viking addresses the paying for your own items and disappearing items... also, losing the new tag once you place something, even if you dont save is a big loss to people who level up by decorating. So, although its better, it still seems unusable.

I tried using the new store but I am blind and there is too much movement if that makes sense. Grabbing the scroll bar is hard and I have to make everything on my computer bigger and that affects what I see in the new decor store. I figured out how to go back to the usual way of decorating and I would appreciate if you keep that as an option. Thanks

NOOOO!!!! ARGH! This is so frustrating!

Some of us have been using the same commands to decorate for OVER A DECADE and now you suddenly go and change it?! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!?!

It's suddenly SUPER EASY to clear a room. NO!!!! Too easy to choose that by mistake! I've almost cleared rooms several times now because that button is where 'my stuff' used to be. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!

And I absolutely HATE scrolling vertically to find something. My screen is SMALL (laptop) and now it's much more difficult to find what I need. Using the arrows to scroll horizontally was so simple!

Placing items I already own - the game tries to CHARGE ME??? Or it places 2 of an item when I only own one.

PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK. This sucks for us long-time players. Dang it!

Go up to the settings icon in upper right corner of YW window, looks like cog wheel (gear), then remove the check mark from the last setting called "Use New Room Editing Store".
The problem is, It might not stay in the old mode, you might have to periodically redo this process.

I think it might have been part of the new theme or at least it was recent. I really cannot remember for sure. It's the little country breakfast nook one. And luckily it did disappear and the original one was still in my inventory. And that weird tracing issue leaving fragmented multiples stopped. However I am still pulling in 2 items when shopping and having to toss one back or I will end up paying for 2.

HOWEVER tonight I just made a coin purchase of a bunch of new items from this new farm theme, it was some stuff for the front yard and some living room stuff. I purchased it and after it saved I went back into the room and pulled the extra back into my inventory to take and place in the front yard.
When I got to that room and started to decorate I went to pull the new items out to use and I could not find them. Nothing I just purchased was there! I had to buy them again to use them.

Honestly I am getting so frustrated I am ready to quit. I only play this game to decorate and like you I get really detailed (though not as genius as you lol) and into it, I don't just place a few items in a room, it's like art to me. This kills the creativity. I hate to sound like one of those people who always threaten to quit, but if I can't decorate like I have been for the past 11 yrs there's no point in continuing for me.

I'm waiting to see what changes are made to remedy these issues, but meanwhile I'm too frustrated to play like I normally do. I hope things get better.

i have yet to really explore all aspects of this 'new' update. however one thing that really bugs me is that the scroll to view items is vertical.
it was much more comfortable to scroll on a horizontal tray.
i did face one weird issue that i cant seem to fix no matter what i try, i first pulled out an item (a tree) when the my items loaded.
after that i tried to pull out other items a gazebo - a bed etc and every damn time it loaded to show the tree. not cool.

i had a good go at this today. i came across several annoyances that really put me off trying it any longer. if/when i try it again, i will be back with hopefully some positive feedback. the annoyances i had were pretty much the same ones that some others have mentioned. i dont care enough to explain in detail right now sorry. its all been said already
but i wont give up. i figure this will end up permanent and the only choice
