I've stayed out of this thread as long as I can.

Do I want the stuff from the 'ghost' themes? I sure as hell do! However, I'm going to say I don't want it opened back up. Before Zynga started re-releasing stuff, how often did we hear about re-releasing themes? Very rarely, if ever. Since Zynga re-released, it's practically been non-stop with the re-release talk. No matter if it's 'just this once', it's never going to be enough. People will always want more re-releases, it will never be enough.

BVG has said they won't be re-releasing anything that we had the fair opportunity to buy. Why would it be fair for them to go back on their word and re-release these themes? If that were the case, why don't they just go ahead and re-release collectibles too? Because since they've already said they won't be re-releasing anything that's already been released, it would be no different. :P

And just to be 100% clear on what I mean. We've been told themes wouldn't be re-released. We've also been told that collectibles won't be re-released. Why should they re-release these themes because people want them and not re-release collectibles? I'm sure there's a whole lot of people out there that want collectibles just as well. And you can't use the logic 'because it's a collectible!' It doesn't really apply since BVG would be going back on their word if they re-released these themes, why not go back on their word when it comes to collectibles too? What's fair for one is fair for all.

If they released it after they said they wouldn't, it would cause a lot of trust issues between BVG and their customers. I think it's a bad idea all around.

They said already their intentions, a few times. I think they know what they are doing and did their homework before they bought the game. They knew this would come up, so they made a statement.

I really think they will be fine financially in time. The new designers have to get used to us and what is already in game. I'm excited for our future items and the whole game!

At the moment, 120 people out of 200, really want or just fine with the store tems being unlocked. I would love to see 2000+ votes though...

I'm not trying to be smart or anything but it doesn't matter if there's 200 people that do want them and only 50 people that don't or visa versa If those 200 people don't spend money on the game they'd never look at the votes. That's one thing about these polls. They don't matter.

They do matter. Those are players' true opinions stated clearly. We don't know how many of those who voted yes or no are paying customers and how many aren't. Votes just show the overall thoughts of community regarding a certain issue. That's why they matter. They should matter.

I will admit I haven't bought much lately. I've spent about 10 since December. My reasons are for being in school and my husband being sick with one income until I can put my degree to use. However, I don't see anything of interest right now. Plus if I can buy the yo cash items with coins through the auction house and sales then why spend my money. Unlocking the themes would make the yo cash dealer that much more powerful. It stabilized the yo economy by cutting back on people making pretty much anything closed out a collectible a bunch of money like a collectible would. Everyone should have to work and go to the factory and so on. Keeping them closed benefits those who turned all closed out items into collectibles, and unlocking them benefits all the decorators and new players as well as the old.

That' ok. I can just pop up and ask "Hey everyone would you like to have wings and fly like a bird?" and see how many people wants that or how many doesn't want, hear everyone's thoughts.

There is no point telling me "you shouldn't ask this question since obviously it's not going to happen, you are not going to have wings and fly like a bird" THUS, this issue we are discussing here, is not something as impossible as having wings.

It is just a suggestion, there is the poll, here is the board. You may agree or disagree but you shouldn't judge the question's existence and respect other people's opinions as much as you want yours to be respected.

For BVG to go back on their word probably wouldn't be a good thing, with 5% at the moment buying yo Id think they wouldn't want to scare them away and lose their trust. That could be a disaster in the making.

Very true. The integrity BVG cared to give to us, (though catering to one side of the argument,) was intentional!

They made their choice. Regardless if people who want re-releases conjure up the idea that it will help support the game or not.

When BVG cares, we'll hear about it.

I don't need to "talk" to him personally about this, I have already read his statement. Obviously, and naturally, as a bussiness owner, what matters to him is who are paying for his digital products, and what people are willing to pay for.
