To be honest, sometimes I wonder if my terminology like plutocrats and the whole rich vs poor thing could be construed as too harsh by the opposing side. I hope that they realize it's a gross generalization and not personal commentary.

You're not naming names and if anyone sees themselves in your description of the "classes" then that's on them.
The way you present it, is non-emotional...which truly does make a difference for folks that want to continue a conversation on that level.
Once emotions get involved, things can get ugly because everyone wants to justify what they're "feeling" is correct.

I never had any problems with it. I cancelled it right at the very end, when it became clear they were no longer supporting it or releasing new stuff for it and the great halloween fiasco. When it began it was actually a great program, but like everything else... they screwed the pooch, and people stopped paying for it, understandably. I never personally had problems with Zynga customer support, although i know others did. FB's IS woeful though. I hope BVG does something for VIP's. It was a great program that could have been awesome under the right management.

We also have speculative threads - threads like was the Celtic Cross ever released or will Pink rets come back.
Some of us are sick of having rumors started and having the forum clogged up with this stuff. It invariably leads to arguments and insults and misunderstandings. Many of us lived through the re-release phase by Zynga and even they did not re-release collectibles and 08 costumes and other rares.

Could you please state exactly what Big V's position is regarding the re-release of 08 costumes, pink rets, cupids bow and other rare or collectible items.
Thank you.

Uh wow, do you think they will tell us there plans just because a few people want o8' items. Even you must admit zynga DID make parodys of the items they had back in 08' such as the inside a beehive, mafia vs police, heros ect. 08 was a great year with tons of cheap full customs that remind us of the good old days so just give it a rest

Yes, they did respond to this on are about page 5! Don't tell me to give it a rest. Wasn't it your mouth that got you in trouble on the old forums.

Regarding items released for the VIP program, they never promised that those items would sit available forever. It is not right to ask Big V to bring them back. VIP members, of which i was one from the beginning of that program, had months of access to those items. There was NO promise of anything else so please do not try to imply or say there was. We are owed nothing.

I suppose I tend to get emotional with certain things.

When something is subjective, and an opinion oriented, vs. something that can be substantiated with facts, I think it's natural for emotions to kick in. I wouldn't even enter into a debate on something for which I had no passion, and I think emotion is the driving force behind passion and one's opinion.

If you have passion and emotion behind your position, it doesn't mean you can't do that in a rational, level-headed and mature way.

What on earth? No one is saying that at all!!! I was a VIP member since the beginning too. We are simply discussing the status that price guides have those items listed in, currently.

As a VIP member I only bought certain things once they were definitely leaving the store. And I know I am not alone in that either. Zynga had so many releases slammed at us in their shameless cash grab, that especially towards the end it was near impossible to keep up with what was leaving and what wasn't

i was reading this the other day, none of the VIP should be re-released

Zynga most recently released a Christmas theme in one last ditch effort to scam its loyal fanbase out of their hard earned money, they released this theme knowing they were going to close the game and the new items would be useless in just a few short months. Also noted, Zynga continued charging its players that were enrolled in the VIP program (a monthly fee based scenario that provided special privileges) as recent as the day before their announcement to shut down the game. This is confirmed because they made a public statement via pop-up upon entering the game on January 10, 2014, that YoVille will be closed on March 31, 201

In 2012, the V.I.P was released which enabled players to pay for a monthly subscription which allowed them to access exclusive items in the clothing and furniture stores with a discounted price. The cost of $17.99 allows the player either the clothing store or furniture store VIP and discount sections, 15 YoCash and 1 free hair of their choice weekly (4 weeks a month). After 3 months of paying for VIP service, the player is allowed into both stores and both discount stores, 20 YoCash and 2 hairs of their choice.

Did any former VIP think (excluding Adeline, naturally) think that when the game transferred to BVG, that former VIPs would lose access to the items in store at the time of the transfer? Was anything said by either Zynga or BVG that this would occur on transfer?

Just asking. I mean as long as we are now discussing this now, and all.

Thank you Nyx, the voice of reason! We all bought those boring flapper bags that everyone was sure were leaving. But, I seriously doubt that many people ponied up the YoCash for the seashell junk that came out with Desert Island ? It would just be nice to have a list of what came out and know the status of these items. I'm not that interested in getting the seashell hat anyway :D. Couldn't the stores have at least kept this closed theme on file? The items have poofed into thin air.

i don't fault anyone for grabbing those items if they were able. not so much elite as lucky.
