I am so sad today. For all of you who have enjoyed the paint board part of this game in creating your rooms, running your events, playing games, and any other wonderful creative use you applied to them, I could not be more unhappy about what has been done to you. Yo is dingier today than I think it has ever been. BVG's decision may have a very good reason behind it, but I do not think they applied it wisely.

The list of awful decisions by BVG about Yo has a new leader at the top of the board -

1. Paint Board Removal
2. 50 Shades Lockdown
3. Free Gift Lockdown

BVG deserves every bit of negativity they get from this. Paint boards were a part of every player's identity in Yo that used them for fun. BVG cut that down unilaterally, without discussion and without mercy. It is their right to do so, as is our right to be very upset about it.

I don't know what the future holds for Yo, but it is darker today. And that sucks. Because I still love this stupid game and want what is best for it. Today I don't think that happened.

BVG removed 90% of the joy I had playing this game. There is no coming back from this. It's just another death for me to endure, from the one game (aside from coloring aps, which I don't consider games) that I used for comfort especially in the last 6 years while I have lost both parents and many friends and relatives. There were many tribute boards for fallen Yo friends that are now wiped out, as if they never existed. I truly enjoyed visiting my older properties where I had paint board artwork throughout -- some of them I didn't have ss of. Obliterated. I feel the sorrow my avid Yo buddies have for losing their own art, many of them used for fabulous tours, which again were wiped out. YW is starker and uglier now and it will always be a huge wound that won't heal. I HOPE YOU ARE HAPPY WITH YOUR DECISION. There is NOTHING that could compensate us for what you have ripped from us.

yes - I wish I'd had a warning about this so I could have taken screen shots of my favourite art which was gifted to me by dear friends. :heart:

I'm not so worried about mine - it was always pretty basic.

however this makes me wonder if the disgusting images which were the work of sick minded pervs, could still be around? Seems like they would have been twisted enough to have taken screen shots?

The only time I cry when I play Yo is when I find out buds have passed. Last night I sat through 2 different buddies telling me about paint boards they treasured that were personal gifts from Yos who have passed away. I......just.......can't........even......

Of all the dumb decisions there are to make, they went ahead and made this one. :sad:

I agree, the no forewarning is devastating. I went back and checked and have screen shots of one of my favorites, but I can't seem to find any of the others. And now the rooms that were decorated around these pieces of art are just huge blank spaces :'(

Hmm.

i will await the "recompense," then be done with this nightmare. Yoworld has been a painful experience. It has taken thousands of dollars and hours from me I can never get back. And now to know that years of work on this was for NOTHING...

I am filled with regret and feelings of disgust and HATRED.

BVG, you are nothing but FOUL.

The worst decision I have seen thus far. Many players have used the paint boards to display their amazing hand drawn art. I have met many talented artists and, have witnessed their talent by watching them draw. The time they took to draw, and the annoying lag, that at times was so frustrating, that they had to re do it. To see the result of their hand drawn art, was worth the wait. I feel that BVG is making a huge mistake by disabling the Paint Boards, that may cost them players.

BVG has already taken away the ability for players to make fabulous art pixels, using the items from their inventories. These items have been taken away/removed, leaving these talented players to improvise, and use items that may be somewhat challenging due to the size and shape. Why the Paint Board Boards BVG? You will always have someone who manipulates an item, and use it for their own purpose, whether it is vulgar, childish, or aimed at an individual. This is not the way to go about it. You end up punishing everyone, including your paying players. Shame on you BVG!!!

This cannot be real... I have so many hand drawn boards I made... It took time working on them.. hours for some even.
I love paint boards.. please don't do this

Wow, you are being so fair to people who didn't break or violate for making abusive images :grr

Many of us have made beautiful houses, themes, signages, events etc. since many years but you don't really care for us who gave so much time, money and emotions to built those art on boards.

You could simply disable the boards for them who made unnecessary art on boards :devil:

I am not talking about what I am going to loose in my art business but for the people who paid me coins and built everything with love and emotions in it, from the Bible stories, cartoon themes, backgrounds, WTB/WTS boards. There were beautiful things in art people did :wailing:

and what all you could see is dirty images.

i understand the copy right, but i had my own personal painting from real life and phots of my dog in real life they didnt infringe on any ones right so to remove them was wrong. no matter what they have done wrong. they could have check instead they just removed all with our thought.

The forums are like a desert, and I have never seen this many replies in such a short amount of time. I can literally feel the emotion in this thread. Many players have crawled out from the woodwork to express their feelings and opinions on this decision. Although this does not affect me directly because I only had a couple paint boards, and I can live without them, I feel for my fellow players. You all have my sympathy. At the very least I hope BVG is able to provide a more detailed explanation as to why this had to happen, considering the impact this is having on the game and it's players. I'm so sorry, guys... my heart aches for you.

I had Jesus praying in the garden for my easter church , I had clowns for my them parks I had so many one was in 8 pieces for my never ending story it was the dragon They owe me millions of coins and my rooms are ruined. Viking Glenn just stated on Discord that they are working to prepare more information about why they did what they did.

"Undoing" it would be difficult if not impossible, so the damage is done. I just don't think they found the best solution, even given what I think to be their legal liability with the abuse (and it is SERIOUS). I'm guessing they took the fastest path, and not necessarily the best one.

explain to me..... if a paint board was white with writing on it it was ok but if the board was incolor with writing on it. they cleared the board, makes no sence. and copy right or infrindgement well how can our real life paintings or phots be an issue this make no sence. you should have just went thur and removed all the dang board . wow VIKING GET YOU STORY RIGHT.

My proposition is everyone to announce their friends to stop doing gems, stop doing Casino, stop VIP, stop buying yocash, stop giving them money for one month. Let them to starve! Let them to tear! We have tried here to be with our friends and our beloved ones, to be creative, to do something. They force us only to give them more and more money. For what? For a damn glitchy game? Let them to go to bankruptcy. People will leave this game and maybe someone will take advantage and make a better social game. Please, take this in consideration.

It's a shame you don't go after the bad guys any more we are all penalized for the few that hurt the game. Many people including myself love my paint boards and have some very creative rooms with them in it as works of art. We are supposed to be adults playing right? Amd yet those other people that run gambling scams are still allowed to rip people off no penalties for them. How about the prices on game? Is price jacking still allowed. Games no fun anymore. I spend less and less time and money on this game for reasons just like this example. I don't want compensation as much as I want the boards to stay in game. One pissed off yo here! :grr
