Where was that written again? I tried looking for the original quote myself to post here, but couldn't find it and forgot where it was said.

hackers bring out items.. people buy from hackers.. they actually bought coins illegally to get those items.. that's why releases were done.. not to make fast cash.. or they would have released more than just 6 costumes.. come on now... the hackers destroyed the game.. and those hackers associated with some very popular clubs.. and the people in the clubs .. acting like they didn't know anything.. yes, they are All innocent
I remember the firwoman costume was cloned and sold.. was selling for 1 million coins... could buy them in bulk, 20 costumes 20million... and those players are allowed to keep them now.. cause they claimed they didn't know better.. yet they be the first to give tips on how to avoid getting ripped off..0.o

That was what Gary told yorehab in the interview he did with them.

At the time they removed zen, cabin, and Egyptian theme, it was because that they literally could not add more to the game without clearing up some space. They did not have the means then to be able to have more and more themes without removing some. Eventually they did. they bought the hardware necessary to be able to keep more themes in store. I'm not sure if it was because zynga changed owners or just became down right nasty and money hungry, but it started to change to make as much money as possible without thinking about the customers. The only real way they listened to the players were just asking what themes people were interested in.
Fair enough if that's true about the beginning of removing themes. IDK. I wasn't there. I just saw the ugly aftermath when they re-released stuff, for other reasons, other than why they removed those old themes originally.
Zen and 08 Egyptian are my favorite old themes in the game. I love them. But honestly I do not see them getting re-released just because it would add comfort-ability and leisure to hopeful decorators and their pipe-dreams. Whether it would knowingly generate BVG a lot of money or not. I find it highly unlikely that, like you wish, they'd go and re-release every single theme (minus holiday and collectibles, as you say) Amber...
Can always hope I guess!

They've officially answered this debate with a few variants of a "no" answer.

Q: Will you be re-releasing specific items?
A: Unlikely, but we may create new variations of them.
is just one.
So it seems BVG isn't even interested in re-releasing. lol.

This is a fairly concise No!

Honestly I don't see them rereleasing those three themes either. I mean don't get me wrong I would love to get my hands on more zen and egyptian items, but there was not any yocash items in those themes. There would be an uproar if BVG turned regular items that was once worth coins into yocash. I know when the tiki mask was turned from coins to yocash, a lot of people got mad about it, and ultimately, you didn't see a bunch of people going out and buying them.

Those associated with that mess can pretend it never happened, but Yo players have a very long memory and they know who was responsible for the downfall of the game.
As far as opening all themes, where does the fun of the hunt for old items come in? I love old things, but not collectibles. If you put everything back in the store, then that will make trading horribly boring to me. Not to mention, there basically would be no reason for trading, unless people were looking for yocash dealers......Yes, decorators are a big part of the game, but so are the collectors (who ironically, don't always just collect collectibles )

Absolutely true. The history, lore and rareness is a big part of the game. The game is full of treasures worth being hunted and discovered. Why...why...whyyyy would people ever feel we are owed all themes to be ripped wide open again. We are not owed anything of the sort. It really is boring when things get re-released because we have no reason to play the game by that point, other than aesthetically/cosmetically decorating. <- That is not everybodies reason of playing the game. Thanks Autumn. You make a good point and i definitely agree. My apartment would bore me if everything I had got re-released, all of the searching, hunting and fun I had discovering those items would have it's charm diminished.
