Those associated with that mess can pretend it never happened, but Yo players have a very long memory and they know who was responsible for the downfall of the game.

As far as opening all themes, where does the fun of the hunt for old items come in? I love old things, but not collectibles. If you put everything back in the store, then that will make trading horribly boring to me. Not to mention, there basically would be no reason for trading, unless people were looking for yocash dealers......Yes, decorators are a big part of the game, but so are the collectors (who ironically, don't always just collect collectibles ;) )

If they want to make new game content, I love their designing, so I'm definitely behind that.

I don't have many coins left, and I'm not selling things just so I can buy more stuff, so I'm really in a holding pattern for buying until the game becomes fully active again. I'm patiently awaiting whichever direction we go, I know the Vikings really know how to orchestrate some fun in their games, and I cannot wait for it to begin, but I will, LOL

Yep Yep! I can't wait to see what they have in store. I absolutely love the new way of styling with the clothes, and I can't wait to see how it is transferred to furniture. BVG stated they were waiting on an artist that was suppose to start this coming week. However, a new artist just started and I'm wondering if he is the one that was talked about. Greg said they were having more difficulty getting new furniture items in game than expected. Part of it could have been they needed an artist to being able to come up with new types of furniture, but it could have also been a coding issue. All I know is I can't wait to be able to get back to decorating with some new stuff.

There would be an uproar if BVG turned regular items that was once worth coins into yocash. I know when the tiki mask was turned from coins to yocash, a lot of people got mad about it, and ultimately, you didn't see a bunch of people going out and buying them.

hmmmm....well the Lime Jeans were originally supposed to be coin since before the release of them, they could have been sold back to the store. And the Menorah Hat was originally supposed to be 8yc since it showed up expired on yo dot com with a price of 8yc, albeit greyed out.

I didn't see any uproar on either of those two in terms of pricing.

But those were unreleased items. There was never a set price in game. If they were released, it was accidental or though yoville.com. The Tiki mask however was in game a while and then it was removed and changed to yocash.

They've officially answered this debate with a few variants of a "no" answer.
http://www.yoworld.com/

Q: Will you be re-releasing specific items?

A: Unlikely, but we may create new variations of them.

is just one.

So it seems BVG isn't even interested in re-releasing. lol.
I don't see where he said that.. Unlikely is not a definite no, it's just unlikely which gives them some wiggle room if they need it. :D

This is a fairly concise No!

This is the exact reason why some of us were saying that it may have been a premature statement, and Gary was only reiterating what Greg originally said. At the time when both Gary and Greg made these statement you didn't hear anyone standing up for the benefits for having all themes opened except for holiday themes and collectibles. They were only trying to make the ones screaming the most happy. Well at least it seems that way. People as well as companies can change their decisions on things. This whole argument has been stated earlier in the thread and in other threads related to this one. I just hope that BVG realizes that it would be more beneficial to them and most of us(I'm not restating my argument for this. It can be found in this thread).

If BVG decided to randomly re-release everything, they would lose a lot of accountability, IMHO.

With that said you must understand how re-releases would make people feel then.... :)

The difference is it was never taken out of game, they just changed the price, and no I don't understand how people get to upset over permanently keeping themes that should have never been taken out in the first place. It goes back to most of the ones who would get upset are the ones that play to just get rich. I'm sorry but the pros of having those themes back far out reach the cons of bringing them back.

Actually, I absolutely hate, I mean HATE having to spend days looking for something to help me decorate one of my rooms. Before all of this mess started, trading went just fine. People still went to sales, and still did trades. Nothing would change with that. That was in place since the game started. Also, collectors don't always have to just collect collectibles but to insist on getting mad over losing money on something that you took the risk on because it was never a collectible in the first place is crazy. There are not many collectors that I know get rid of the collections that they have worked hard at. Some may, but not many.

Veronica (122961678) wrote:Many people dislike and still waiting for the removal of the expired themes' shadows from the store. I was thinking, well, as they are not being removed, why not just unlock them all...

None of those themes expired fairly nor naturally after all. Zynga rushed to expire them in order to earn the last extra bulk cash before the closure of Yoville. Many players had already stopped playing at those days. We didn't even have time to enjoy them in the first place. Am I wrong?

Another thing, more important than that, we know BVG say they are losing money each day for the upkeep of this game, on the other hand, they can't create furnitures at the moment, plus, we can see that many people are not much happy about the clothing releases too yet, BVG is trying to encourage people to buy yocash.

If they unluck the existing themes, that will be for the benefit of the company, and the game's future in the first place. I know what they said about re-releases, but at the moment there is an extra ordinary situation and decisions can change.

You are correct... They need to do it, until they are able to release their own furniture... and they shouldn't rush the release or we are going to end up with another snowflake cloak that looks like a pregnant baby outfit.

No not really! It's called they realized that there were more pros to opening them up than cons. Greg originally said he couldn't seem himself doing it, but he never said he absolutely would not. I'm sorry but until I see Garys exact writing where he stated they absolutely will not be put back into the game and that it was coming straight from Greg, and not yorehabs interpretation on how they understood Gary's response to the question, then I still be have hope that Greg will see the light.
