A smaller part of me wants to buy that crap up and delete it so I never have to see it at "rare" sales......

Its all virtual at the end of the day but rare would be the special items that only a select few have!!

I know last year this was a hard to find item, one guy looked for a long time. That's good it's gotten easier.

To me, a "rare" is just what the word means literally.

In yo, whatever item that I can't find easily is "rare" regardless of price.

As an obvious example, the old bow and the pink retros are very far from being rares as anyone who has enough coins, can get those within 2-5 minutes right after they make a WTB event.

To me, a rare is something you can't find easily even if you can very well afford it.

For example this item I like it so much, I sooooo wtb it, yet I have never seen it at any sale so far:


But to most of the yoworld players, anything expired from the store is rare. I think it's a general yo-misunderstanding.

I've noticed that. Also "08/09 rares" sales or auctions and have literally no item from those years. The fact that an item surpasses the 1m doesn't mean it is from those years.
Answering the question, rare to me is items that I look for and can't find anywhere. They are random, once you look for them they just don't exist. Hard to pinpoint them but I've come across a few

I have several of those pianos......maybe some thing they are rare cause of the price? I think the 2011 animated spider is way more rare than the piano.......

cowhides are the rarest i tell ya!!! i sell for a monsterous 10c. get it while the going is good!

Yep I have some of those.

"Rare" is the stainless appliances from the Beach Party theme.... And the kitchen cabinets. Lol.

Rare to me means hard to find! It's not rare if I see 5 events within 15 minutes selling the same thing.
