I agree with you! I played for yrs. Bought my own stuff, and sold some yocash along the way.
I played by the rules, and never even accepted a free gift item.
But for me the game is about fun too.
I do love to gift ppl who really like or want the gift.
My main reason for playing was for my sister and a few friends to play and spend time together, that's why I still play. If they were not playing with me, it would not be nearly as fun.

Have never ever had a wishlist, or asked others to give me a item. Like many older players-most have been burned by a scammer for gifts. Like the OP-can not stand the "class'ism" of Yo. Way too many people here are into pixil wealth, and being better than others. They will fight to the end to make sure no undeserving get "rich" items by re-release OMG-have never seen so many so worried about what others have or do not have. Sweet Jassus. IT IS JUST A GAME.

the game has always been about having fun with friends and decorating for me... i guess i just fail to see the way some others do it just to see who can have more coins and who will lie and beg to get more coins

I must have lived a sheltered Yo-life. I know I do not get out much in the game, but I do not see those looking down. I just let people be who they are and play as they like, and if it does not resonate I move on to the places that do. I like the forum though, although I was mostly a lurker on the old one until the last year under "They who shall not be named" and I needed to vent at the darkening shadows.

The game itself lends to so many varying aspects, it is always going to attract all differing types of players. I like to hang with the nice Yo's, and you are certainly one of that number to smile at.

I think it's tough to classify and hammer these things down imo. Anybody can be rich at any time regardless if they're ever spent a dime on yocash, regardless if they're a new player, old player, etc. Just like anybody can be poor at any time whether they're a new player an old player or not. Anybody who is poor has the potential to be rich anybody who is rich has the potential to be poor. Some people work very hard to be "rich". and some people only have to sell 1 item and bam, instantly they're rich. Some people can give away all of their coins items, would that make them poor? idk. That seems like a very diverse thing to classify to me...This could fluctuate every day, all day. and it does.

ROFLAO! I also never see people looking down on others. I see no plutocrats in this game. NO one ever tells me they are rich or treats me as if I have any less than they do.

Also people's opinion of rich and poor is always different, some attribute those to define material pixel items and some attribute it to the value and appreciation of friends and good time.

Exactly, it is all about perspective Robot. The thing that bugs me is people don't consider that though before passing judgement on another player. Yes, I generalized in my post, which I said it was, but it was mostly to show that you can not just put all people into a rich or poor category. Everyone plays the game differently, so no one category fits at all.

Good post AG.... and I hope others take the time to read it thru. It sheds light on the different type of players that exist in this game and if more players were aware of this distinction they may not make as many ignorant statements that we see continuously branded around this place.

As for the terminology - it is what is ... I don't think 3rd world countries like being labelled as 3rd world but it is what they are.
