In order to pass Occupational classes while recieving Special Education services, you must commit working within the school year or within the weekends, while attending school, or recieving " Employment Opportunities 101" as prime work, or Career center trades...

Employment opportunities will be teaching the following..

Sewing machines
- How to care for your sewing machine
- How to dissemble sewing machine
- How to clean, grease, oil in correct spots.
- How to sew in patterns, straight lines.

Dishes
- How to properly hand wash dishes
- How to use a dish washer
- Using the right soap
- Drying off dishes
- Places dishes in correct places
- How to inspect for dirty dishes

Iron
- Following a chain on command of how to iron safely
- Bringing collar shirts
- Setting your iron on right temperature
- Using it cautiously and correctly

Laundry
- How to recognize colors and white
- How to start a load of laundry
- How to dry clothing
- Hanging up nicely
- How to turn dials

Teamwork
- Learning team work and leadership skills
- Following directions
- Providing imput and opinions
- Realizing everyone has a own part in a job
- Getting along with coworkers

Job etiquette

- Table manners
- Proper gestures at certain time
- Learning what to say and what is not acceptable
- Getting along with coworkers
- Ability to clock in and out
- Ability to call out sick when needed
- How to dress professionally

I did set up rules a few years ago.. With Miss. Asoda.. When she use to teach..

We have added new rules too, but check what it is like..

1. No cell phones out
- Unless permission is given from Mr. Seamz, Mr. Tony, Mr. B, Ms. Deanna, Ms. Limes, Ms. Jackie to have your phones out in class.
- Only should be out if its a project, calculator, or an emergency to handle.
- Students SHOULD NOT use social media during school hours.
- Students should ask permission if video taping or photography of a pupil.

2. No profanity
- We ask that we keep this classroom environment a friendly learning environment
- Profanity should not be spoken of in a age level that offends others.
- Profanity should not be tolerated at all on campus.
- Please do not use profanity to bully others or start a fight.

3. Be nice to classmates, teachers, teacher aides and job coaches.
- We all need to treat each other with equality
- You never know what students are facing in a bad day.
- These classmates may become your boss someday.
- Treat people how you want to be treated.
- You may have to use the teachers or staff as a reference.

4. Be safe when using safety equipment for our new business
- NO horseplay at all
- You must be careful of what your working with for our business.
- Treat all safety equipment with respect.
- IF an item is misused, loss of privileges when using this item.
- Report any injuries in the class site
- Your responsibility to notify the teacher if you get hurt

5. When an item is damage or destroyed, tell an adult.
- Do not try to fix it on your own if you have no clue how to
- Do not try to hide it or blame others.
-Take action and responsibility to advocate for yourself if something you see is not good.
- DO NOT USE IT IF ITS DAMAGE.

6. All homework should meet the expectation of when it is due.
- If not met when it is due, points are deducted on the grade.
- If it's late or asked for more time take advantage.
- Do not finish it the day that it is due.
- Take responsibility for having it.
- It is not my work responsibility to keep it and attempt the assignment, it is your work to have it.
- Must be neat, clean, and no rips in the paper.
- Must include the rubric of ALL assignments of ALL high school papers ( Exam, quiz, test, notebook, and assignments ) as it MUST include, name, class, date, teacher, and block ( 1, 2, 3 or 4 )

7. DO your work!
- Make sure your doing what your suppose to do!

8. Stay on task!
-Don't talk to your neighbor or procrastinate!
- Ask for help
- Pertain to topic only.

9. NO cheating!
- If seen cheating, a 0 will be given for that assignment
- An alternate assignment will be given to replace the 0.
- You can't look at anyone's paper and make your own changes..

10. Please behave for the teacher or substitute teacher.
- If the teacher is out, respect the substitute teacher.
- Act like your in here with the actual teacher.
- Just because the teacher is not here, you should act up.
- Even if its, a guest, guest speaker, another teacher, substitute teacher, instructional aides, administrators

11 ) If you are OUT for that day
- You must follow the agenda for the procedure of an excuse
- You have up to 5 consecutive days to get any work done
- A 0 can be given until actual grade

12 ) Try to complete all work needed for class
- Reasons why, if it's due before the end of semester, and if it's not done, you will fail the semester
- Because you cant graduate if you dont complete any work.

13) laptops...
- Your given a laptop since 2020-2021.
- Please dont damage your computer
- Treat said computer with respect
- A $400 fine will be given if computer is damaged
- Your responsible for the upkeep ( charging, notes, assignments completed)
- Failure to have a charger, you must transfer everything to a notebook and copy it back to your computer

13 ) Call home or referrals
- Any teacher or job coach can write you up, we hate it, but if we have to..
- Parents will be notified
- Verbal Warnings ( up to 20 )
- We know students will lie to their parents if they are in trouble and refuse to be caught..

14 ) If your sick
- Please notify instructor or job coach
- Make a hall pass to the nurse
- Gather up your computer and things
- Leave quietly after confronting an instructor showing your hall pass

15) If your tardy
- Quietly come in
- Use the bathroom before hand
- Do the assignment
- A teacher will approach you during said instruction is done.
- late passes should be sign by admin and given to the bin in teacher's class.

16 ) Absences..
- You can miss up to 5 DAYS
- Anything else besides excused ( Exc ) , will not be counted for..
- After 5 days, must bring a note
- Your responsible for completing what you miss
- Anything more than a semester, MUST BE RETAKEN.
- You wouldnt graduate said grade if missed an academic per year
- Either a semester retake, or retake said grade for 1 semester till next grade level.

Folks, we had students last year come in when they want, leave when they want, miss however many days, lynch about work hours.. We're strict this upcoming year. We have only 1 sophomore next year, and we have a lot of freshman in our classroom.. Take this year seriously.

These are just a few places we have partnered with our Special Education classroom that current and former students can apply to.

We have a hospital called " FIRST CARE"
- Able to follow directions
- Work in their departments
- Get along with coworkers
- Clean
- Transport Patients to and back in a safe manner
- Assist patients in a stretcher or wheelchair safely and maturely
- Some departments may make you wear a mask or gloves
- Able to be happy
- Calm and reassure patients
- Gives patients warm blankets
- Able to wear gloves and a mask without being offended
- Front desk help
- Hiring in ICU, Patient recovery, transport, Environmental Services, ER, ( and I believe this department assist people with parking and assisting from cars )

IF your a good speaker and candidate and want to get on Yoworld's School board in the Yoworld School District, here's the following...

- Must be able to get along with coworkers
- Must be able to collaborate and give ideas
- Must be flexible for any work hours
- Must have a good reputation in school
- You may be writting or viewing schools
- Great communication etiquette needed
- Must have a clean record and no drugs
- You represent all of Yoworld's schools

I forgot to say, we do offer students working in the cafeteria at North Valley.

Cafeteria at North Valley and Dale Academy

- Must handle food carefully
- Wear a uniform
- Positive attitude
- Do cafeteria duties
- Scan student's ID badge
- Toss out expiring food
- Take out trash

And most businesses like people who take out the trash.

Also, for ID badges, you will be required to wear an ID badge around your neck at all times on campus. You must have it on, issued on first day...

Open House is August 8th... For current students, former students / Alumnis/ Alma matas can visit too.

First day of school is August 11th

Meet up with teachers will be August 5th..
