They have very active Facebook accounts and money.
And if anyone who reads this is dying to tell me about the joys of families who play the game together or how there are no longer such people in Yo or how the virtues of YoWorld outweigh the pervs etc., save it. I have seen it all. I will not be convinced. The Kids do not leave.

These are pretty bold assumptions on your part.

You're practically saying any kid/teen that plays Yoville has no life? I don't think that's the case.

And, also, not all kids are homeschooled and unsupervised who play Yoville. These assumptions are beyond ridiculous. :?

I think that once school starts, there will be a noticeably smaller amount of a certain type of thread and certain types of comments. They won't go away completely, but the amount will lessen. It always does.
I've played this game long enough to know the pattern. There's a lot more drama during summertime months and holiday months.

There is always someone who has to jump in and start arguing. Logan, I have read the stories people post. I have personally talked to hundreds of people - many many teenagers about their lives. I know all about the latch key kids and the home schooled. Don't tell me, I am not talking reality here. My assumptions are not ridiculous. I could say the same about what you are saying.
You know people do have the right to post on a thread and what they say does not have to be critiqued!

HMom, they will not be going anywhere - not like the op implies.

A lot of my friends on this game are more than half my age. Some are still school some are great friends. I don't Jude the age I judge how they treatment ad others. I really think there's problems with adults in this game as well

I appreciate your sentiment Mikey and agree with it but it really does not address the original post on here.

The assumptions saying homeschooled kids don't go anywhere is ridiculous.

I know a lot of homeschooled kids, and in-fact, they do have lives. You do have the right to post, and so do I.

I don't think they're ridiculous. I actually think that, for the most part, her statement holds a lot of truth. Homeschooled kids do tend to be isolated and less active.

If you look at the U. S Department of Education's website, 91% of children that are homeschooled are homeschooled because the parents are worried about the type of environment public schooling provides. In a sense, they are isolating their children from the "real world." This slows down the development of standard social skills. Sure, you have some counterexamples that turn out perfectly healthy and social, but that doesn't seem to be the majority. My mother is an educator, and she will tell you the same thing (along with the majority of her co-workers). It's very difficult to have a healthy social life if you aren't given many opportunities to develop one.

Sorry, I know this was off-topic, but I had to get that in there.

Nobody has to play a game for ppl 13 and up. It's not just the kids. I have a 13 yr old and I watch him. He does not go on the forum, but that is the game age range. They get more yocash out of me because we can play together.

No I hate when School starts up again, I love kids having freedom of the summer months, school is difficult and a lot is expected of them. I don't envy them to be honest, it's a lot of pressure. Hope they are all enjoying their summer :D
